Interestingly, there is a “Matrix”-like “bullet time” sequence where Tom Poston slows down and then dodges a fired bullet.

Yeah, I noticed that...there was also an “Outer Limits” episode as well where aliens were able to “shut off” (or massively slow down) local time, and I recall a scene where one of them was able to observe, then flick away a bullet fired at them.
