My cat walks on my keyboard too. I was typing an email and all the sudden it disappeared. Then the cat switched the size of text then it disappeared again. (sigh) Cats... now they are all fighting over a purple pom-pom. They are cheap entertainment.

I have to wonder what all those folks think of him now? They were so sure he was different and a change was coming. Well Mrs. O has an expensive ring, do they have their mortgage paid yet???

The ring by itself wouldn’t bother me. Anyone, if they can afford it can spend their money on whatever they please. But it is the sheer hypocrisy of their actions versus their words. I will never refer to him as my president. I’ll call him, maybe not exclusively, as “that baby killer.”

Maybe its a Soros gift for keeping her mouth shut in the last months of the election. He probably considers it a cheap price.

someone needs to check the federal 'gift laws'. I don't think she can keep gifts of that value from anyone other than her family. And the family can't accept gifts, either. There's probably a way to get around the gift law, but right now, I can't think of a way.

There are also laws for campaign finance, but Mr. Soros found ways to laugh at that.

How beautiful. They really lift my spirits. FWIW, when I got married, daisies were among the flowers I carried.

(The other main flowers were YELLOW ROSES! HA!)

Laws? We don’t need no stinkin’ laws!

Or a constitution.

Or moral absolutes.

I haven’t seen that much about Mrs. Obama either. Except that her mother will live with them in the White House.

/snarky comments which are springing to mind

Sure am glad you put that third one in there. I was beginning to suspect you were a typical Republican Primary voter before that one!

BTW, welcome to Free Republic and welcome to our daily thread, America - The Right Way!

This particular thread is a rather long-running thread having begun just shortly after FR began. We’re a “coffee-klatch” group, exchanging recipes, gardening tips, family concerns, etc. as well as political thoughts.

We have at least two sons in the miltary and in the Sandbox (or soon to be). My son, Jemians Terror, will be there until Fall 2009 and Mozart Lover’s son will be joining him there in the new year.

Just for the record, I'm not a "typical" anything.

Thanks Jemian, and thanks for the info about The Ring....Now if that were Bush making that purchase....

lysie, I'm sorry you can't hear Bennett...transcripts of his key interviews would be welcomed!

Prager is more on the right track today as he indirectly criticizes the Susan Rice appt. to the UN, and raising the position to Cabinet level. I don't agree with the folks who are trying to believe that Obama may govern from the center-Left after all.

I return to my thought of a few weeks ago: he's decided to put "experienced", "capable" libs in power so that he can start right away to implement a very left agenda...no mistakes and getting off-track like the early Clinton days which wasted time and momentum. (So I agree more with the very suspicious Levin, altho listening to him just before bed is not good for sleep)

Obama has himself said these appointees will follow his vision., and we know what that is...even Gates will be compliant ultimately if not early on.

And he's probably agreed to pay off Hillary's campaign debts on a monthly payment basis depending on how well she cooperates!

We'll see...

Today is quieter than yesterday. I'll still get plenty done, but it won't be as nervewracking as yesterday:-)

I’ll pass that on to him when I can. Mozie, the thanks extends to your gallant hero as well. Slnk, fyi, my son posts here infrequently under the name JemiansTerror. He IS responsible for about 80% of my gray hair.

Just a question. Does anyone know if making the UN position a cabinet post, has to be approved by congress? Not that it wont be anyway( who’s to stop it), but we dont have to make it easy.
