Many companies buy their inventory using credit and return their unsold stock to the manufacturer.

Bookstores are a great example. They get the books, then destroy their unsold stock and send the covers back for credit.

Thank you for your thoughtful informative post. Unlike some folks around here, intelligent feedback and facts are sure fire way to make a point.

You are such a presumptuous, reactionary blowhard, I didn't even take the time to read your posts.

Take your PMS pills and try again in the morning.

You make a lot of ASSumptions about people you do not even know. I can't even begin to imagine how you must do this in your personal relationships. Poor thing. Ignorance, assumptions, and resentments make poor bed mates and even more ridiculous posts when it comes to trying to make a point with thoughtful, intellegent, and kind people.

Go pick on someone else bully. AlmaKing . . . aka KingBaby.

Namecalling doesn't impress me or most of the folks here on FR. AlmaKing's posts were interesting to me. He clearly brings something to the table here. Grow up, and read what he has to say.

I realize that when I post a vanity I'm inviting comment and opinion that may not agree with mine, but I don't think I expected the level of ignorance and illogic that we all got to see in your flames.

You had the opportunity to edumacate me on how retail outlets anticipate this type of behavior and may even welcome it...just like they surely welcome those women who 'buy' gowns for one night then return them.

But instead you started ignorace laced flames:

One citizen reporting on another who is trying to make a buck legally. Sounds fascist to me.

First off, you obviously don't know what "fascism" is.

‘There oughta be a law!’

Next thing you’ll do is propose a tax on Craigslist transactions. I would bet you would argue yourself into thinking that all those transactions should be taxed, right?

Second, you relied on straw man arguments that might have made you feel good but did nothing for your credibility.

Those are YOUR lines, not mine but you try to make others think that you are refuting things I've said when the reality is that you are attributing words to me and then refuting them to make yourself look good.

In other words, you lied.

Ok, so you don't have a problem with someone scarfing up promotional items, attempting to resell them and returning the unsold units.

I do. I don't think that it is 'the right thing' in any way shape or form.

I also don't admire scalpers or those creeps who buy up the Tickle-Me-Elmo dolls and price gouge parents at Christmas time.

Do you?

Buy hey, no hard feelings. Come on over to my place and enjoy a meal. But don't get surprised when the youngest kid scarfs up all the olives and charges you for some, or if my wife makes you rent your plate, or if the other kids want to lease you a chair and silverware.

And when nature calls, the oldest will probably sell you tissue by the square...sorry, no rentals, no returns!

Capitalism, right?

Or is that going too far?

That's right, I still resent those that try to take advantage of others, especially when they don't have the nerve to bear the risks themselves. And yes, this is what I see here, someone taking advantage of others, not someone honestly hustling for a buck.

Wanna hustle for a buck? Buy the computers wholesale and then resell, don't try to scarf up the promotional items.

And, yes, I feel obligated to give the caveat that I am NOT a Black Friday shopper, nor do I ever purchase the latest, must have toy for kids, so I have no personal loss, no sense of entitlement or bitterness in these transactionsand you have implied and I do understand that something may be unethical but still legal.
