Are you talking about angels? Avatar seems a weird choice of words. Is this the new PC version?

I believe it’s a term used in gaming.

I knew that; it’s just a strange choice of words, I think.

Avatars are the pic you can use on some sites along with your post.

Thanks, that’s a great one.

Thanks, I knew what Avatar means, I just was thrown a little because I was thinking of traditional Christmas icons and didn’t connect that the symbology has to keep up with the times. No criticism intended.

Avatar is a single photo that speaks volumes that people put as a representation of themself in place of a photograph of themself.

Thanks, but this local site does not do animated pics like good old FR.

Is that one of the half man half horse or bull or something? A lots of words crop up without any clue what they are or where they came through.

Prior to computer gaming & on-line chat rooms, an avatar was understood to be the physical embodiment of a deity. Hindus believe that numerous avatars visited earth. The Olympic “gods” of Greek mythology often appeared as avatars — e.g. Zeus as a swan. Some even say that Christ was an avatar (similar to Hindu avatars) — but a deity visiting earth as an avatar isn't the same as the Holy Trinity.
