The latest Web sensation: a black-and-white cat that seems to have no fear of vacuum cleaners -- at least the robotic kind. CNN reports that more than 1.6 million YouTube-watchers have seen this kitty sitting pretty aboard a Roomba.

One of our dogs tried to make friends with it too, but it is such a workaholic it wasnt interested.
aaawwww they stuck him on that thing lol
Thanks, Slings and Arrows and Daffynition.
Awww. Meow-Meow to one of the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.
I once bought a Roomba with visions of leaving it to clean the house while I was busy doing other things. Wrong. Eventually, I threw it away.
Against the day I’m ever able to afford this modern marvel (as if!), why were you so dissatisfied with it?
Fun vid, thanks.
tremendous advertising!
Does everybody have a Roomba but me? ~sob~
It keeps the top stuff vacuumed up, but doesn’t do deep suction, more of just a sweep. Has a docking station and when the battery is low it goes and plugs itself back in. We inherited the device from my BIL, and so far the battery hasn’t needed replacement. It works very well on tile. It does keep the carpets tidy “looking” in between vacuuming with the big vac. We’ll turn it on when we leave for work and it’s back docking when we get home.
The one cat, though, is very careful where she leaves her tail.
A cat, a glass topped table, and a camera. Add a guy with way too much time on his hands and there you go!
Personally, I think it's as slick as a cat's...never mind!

It's been done! There is even a "kit" to help with the training. It has a little insert that fits into the hole in a human sized toilet seat (very similar to training seats for toddlers). The insert scales the hole down to feline proportions and at the beginning of training holds a small "sandbox" to remind the cat what they are there for. After the cat becomes accustomed to sitting on the throne you remove the "sandbox" for phase two. The last bit of training requires you to have some patience and show the cat what happens next. Most are bright enough to catch on reasonably quick and you can now get rid of the smelly old sandbox.
If you attempt this training I would insure that the TP rolls are placed in the holders with the paper discharging closest to the wall lest you feline friend find playing with a big pile of TP to their liking.
I have never tried to toilet train any of my fuzzy friends but it's not all that hard. I did have a seal point Siamise male (named Charley Chan) who liked to visit when I was in the tub. He'd jump up on the toilet seat and then reach over to the rim of my old claw footed tub, hop over and then pussy foot all the way around the rim and then jump back to the seat. One day he hopped up but the seat was still up and down he went. I believe that he reversed direction without ever hitting bottom, he popped out of the bowl like a jack-in-the-box and never returned to the bathroom!

Yes, Roomba left messages:
1. Remove all lamp cords or they will be chewed up.
2. Remove all furniture from the room so it won’t get in the way.
3. Roomba doesn’t do corners.
4. Roomba needs adult supervision.
5. The room will still need to be vacuumed after Roomba does its thing.
