I am elated that you have come to your senses and reversed yourself in support of a very debilitating disease, Cystic Fibrosis. I guess you did this after you realized that it affected a broader culture of people and gender than you first realized. It seems that your initial thought was that if it only affected white males, that it was not deserving of any support. Now that you know that “Caucasian’ has a broader definition (good that college education is paying off), you are not going to deny the support and funding on fighting this terrible disease.
I am elated.
At the same time, the next time that someone ask me for help or donation on something that is not ‘inclusive enough’, such as HIV, or Sickle-cell Anemia, etc. I can simply quote CUSA rationale. So Carleton University will have a ‘precedent’ in their name, and perhaps even a new wikipedia definition under ‘inclusive thresholding’.
I already turned down someone today on HIV and told them that Carleton University of Ottawa said that it's OK. You should be proud!!!
