ARTICLE SNIPPET: “In Lee County, 60 percent of the homes being sold today are bank owned, said Denny Grimes, president of Denny Grimes & Co., a real estate company based in Fort Myers.
Its like Black Friday in the real estate market every day, he said. So when people line up to get their latest hot toy on Friday the day after Thanksgiving that is what shopping in the real estate market is like every day in Lee County, with one exception. We are not going to run out of Game Boys. There is so much out there.
There are 4,000 homes on the market for less than $100,000 in Lee County, Grimes said. Most of them are in Lehigh Acres and Cape Coral, where a frenzy of investors scooped up properties in 2004 and 2005, pushing prices sky high.”
What part of Florida is that?
