There aren’t any good guys to root for. The bikers are crimminals and the cops are on the take.
I do have a soft spot for Opie though. Tig the guy second in command is a real nutcase but I have a feeling he’s about to get real dead.

Jack just advertised for a Malaria net...come on Jack
Actually, it's probably one of the most NON-PC things he could do.
If he's pushing the nets impregnated with DDT.
Maybe they've developed a "kinder and friendlier" mosquito net
with some mosquito repellant/killer molecule.
Believe it or not...
I first heard about this approach to lessening malaria on PBS from
a guy that works at...The Carter Center.
And if I'm not mistaken that's as in Jimmy Carter.
I bet Jimma' had to bite hard before allowing his center to
give approval to a net impregnated with DDT.
I'm sure Al Gore was deeply saddened!

3 posts in we get the usual ‘jumped the shark’ post.
I don’t know if I can get past the irritation of the new administration, but it was a good show.

No. 4 was my favorite also !! But I’ve liked them all.
For all their little faults, it’s still the best thing on television.
Gonna have a hard time this year though, with the gal prez. I could take it better if we still had Dubya, but this will be all too real with Zero at the helm.

Didya ever notice how liberals always want us to go over and rescue people who are being murdered by cruel tyrants ... well, except maybe that cruel tyrant in Iraq.

I watched it and I may not watch any more of it — I found it a little bit boring. At every turn, I was predicting in my mind what would happen next, and was correct. And when a movie/TV show does that, it ceases to be entertaining.

..Gonna have a hard time this year though, with the gal prez. heh...for a moment I thought you said lez.
24's prez's have all had their quirks, some quirkier than others.
Palmer, Keeler, Logan, Palmer 2, Daniels and now Taylor...all dims. 6 prez's in 7 seasons...wow!!
Of them all I liked David Palmer the best. His relationship with Jack was great.
So, I guess we'll get through this Taylor gal...somehow.

Was the movie good or bad??
This 24 2-hour movie?
I haven't seen it; dvd'd it because I didn't think I could watch children being submarine gun shot.
I get the feeling from this thread that the movie is a "Really Good Bad Movie" or a "Really Bad Good Movie."
Don't know if I'll watch it or not. I already know about warring African warlords use of children.
And, that makes me want to arm and take some measures."

It was good and suggestively realistic.

I'll probably break down and watch, A CA Guy, but cover my eyes on children used in warlords’ wars.

That’s where the show touches on reality.
My wife had a tough time watching it as well because of it touching on these realities nobody wants to see.
Lots of slavery in Africa still today as well.
