I wish someone in the mainstream (Sean Hannity?) would just open the question up in a general sense to the American people.
“All over the blogosphere, people are opening up an interesting question about how we elect our Presidents. Our Constitution only has two prerequisites to becoming President of the United States, being over 35 years old, and being a natural born citizen of this country.
“What exactly is a natural born citizen, and how should our candidates prove that they meet that qualification? People wonder about President-elect Obama, because he may have been conferred citizenship of some other countries, and does that affect at all his American citizenship? We have expert scholar Dr. Blablabla here, who says it does not. Doctor?”
[Expert defines “natural born” as per the Constitution. He then explains why being given other citizenships through no request of your own has no effect on your American citizenship.]
“Some are also saying that one’s American parent needs to be a certain age to be able to confer American citizenship on his or her child. Is this true?”
[Expert explains the rule of how an American parent needs to have spent a certain number of years past the age of 14 in the United States, in order to confer citizenship to his/her baby. Then mentions that this is only an issue if the child were born outside the country.]
“And yet some are concerned that this could possibly effect our President-elect? How could this be, if he were born in Hawaii, which was indeed a state in 1961? What documentation do our candidates for President have to show, and to whom, in order to run for the presidency, to prove they’ve met the natural born requirement?”
Expert says, “It would only affect Barack Obama if he had not been born in the United States. A Birth Certificate would be the proof he would need, and one would assume that the DNC would have vetted that document before he was voted as the party’s nominee. Online some have seen a Certificate of Live Birth from Obama, but since Hawaii at the time would issue such a document even from those who were born on foreign soil, that would not have been the document he needed to prove natural born status.”
“So you are saying that the American people have no recourse to make sure that any of their future Presidents meet the requirements? They must just trust that the political party has seen them?”
Expert admits that no precedent has ever occurred where the American people had reason to wonder about their candidate’s legal “natural born” status before. Both agree that it would be a good idea to get something into place so that we know that these paltry requirements are met before an election.
Leave it to the viewers to realize they need to demand this be done.
Hmmmm, I’m not sure of the significance of the crest.
I agree, the pressure on Pastor Manning must be huge - as you said.

Au contraire, Hawaii has acknowledged that there is a vault copy of his birth certificate on file. They did not verify or certify that he was born in Hawaii.

Now that is a horse of different color. Hard to imagine why, if he such a BC he wouldn't produce it. Only costs $10 per copy to each individual court. A lot cheaper than sending lawyers to argue "standing", "State/Federal powers", etc, etc, etc. But he rather pay all those lawyers. Heck they could be going over the questionnaires of folks wanting to work in his administration, which gets down to the level of, "do you now or have you ever owned a gun?

Actually it would leave The Annointed one, well, anointed. Obama has 365 electoral votes, McCain only 173. To keep Obama from becoming President it would take another 41 votes to be taken away.
However, the only way even the 55 would be taken away, would be for Obama's birthplace to be revealed as not in the US, and if that happens, we take away all 365 votes.
But even then, there would be no run off, there being no provision for such a procedure in the Constitution. Instead if it happens before the electoral college votes, then presumably most of Obama's electors would vote for some other Democrat as authorized by the DNC. If after then, no eligible candiate would get a majority the electoral votes and the race would be thrown into the House of Representative, where each state delegation, rather than each Congressman, would get one vote. However they can only choose from eligible people who also get electoral votes. That would be McCain, unless at least one elector goes "rogue"/"faithless" and votes for someone else, which I fully expect to happen...just in case. She Who Must Not Be Named will ensure it.
No they have not. They have said they have his original Hawaiian birth certificate, and that the form "released" in relatively low resolution images appears genuine. That just means the form is correct. By law they cannot confirm that the information on the form is correct. Nor can they comment on or release the information on the original birth certificate. There are several ways someone not born in Hawaii could have a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate. It would however show the actual place of birth, wherever it might be.
If they are born here, they already can be. See the 14th amendment, which for good or evil, amended the Constitution, and the Supremes must take that amendment in to account.
Not that it affects The One, or anyone else, not born here.
And 14 years a resident of the United States.
Unfortunately not, they have given them until December first to respond the the suit. It'll take a quite a bit of jaw flapping by the Obama/DNC lawyers after that before they get to the point where they might order the BC produced, and sent directly from the Hawaii Officials to the Court, without the document going through the hands of BHO, his lawyers or his "document specialists".
The 14 Amendment only confers the title of ‘citizen’..not ‘natural born citizen’

He expects Obama to use the 14 amendment, but his take is important to note. Here are the relevent parts:
“Don’t be distracted by the birth certificate and Indonesia issues. They are irrelevant to Senator Obama’s ineligibility to be President. Since Barack Obama’s father was a Citizen of Kenya and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of Senator Obama’s birth, then Senator Obama was a British Citizen “at birth”, just like the Framers of the Constitution, and therefore, even if he were to produce an original birth certificate proving he were born on US soil, he still wouldn’t be eligible to be President.
The Framers of the Constitution, at the time of their birth, were also British Citizens and that’s why the Framers declared that, while they were Citizens of the United States, they themselves were not “natural born Citizens”. Hence their inclusion of the grandfather clause in Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the Office of President;
That’s it right there. (Emphasis added.)
The Framers wanted to make themselves eligible to be President, but they didn’t want future generations to be Governed by a Commander In Chief who had split loyalty to another Country. The Framers were comfortable making an exception for themselves. They did, after all, create the Constitution. But they were not comfortable with the possibility of future generations of Presidents being born under the jurisdiction of Foreign Powers, especially Great Britain and its monarchy, who the Framers and Colonists fought so hard in the American Revolution to be free of.
The Framers declared themselvesnot eligible to be President as “natural born Citizens”, so they wrote the grandfather clause in for the limited exception of allowing themselves to be eligible to the Presidency in the early formative years of our infant nation.
But nobody alive today can claim eligibility to be President under the grandfather clause since nobody alive today was a citizen of the US at the time the Constitution was adopted.
The Framers distinguished between “natural born Citizens” and all other “Citizens”. And that’s why it’s important to note the 14th Amendment only confers the title of “Citizen”, not “natural born Citizen”. The Framers were Citizens, but they weren’t natural born Citizens. They put the stigma of not being natural born Citizens on themselves in the Constitution and they are the ones who wrote the Document.
Since the the Framers didn’t consider themselves to have been “natural born Citizens” due to their having been subject to British jurisdiction at their birth, then Senator Obama, having also been subject to British jurisdiction at the time of his birth, also cannot be considered a “natural born Citizen” of the United States.]”

It is interesting that this argument on the intent of this part of our constitution has never come up before, but it seems imperative that we iron this out now before it is too late.
