“City gets OK to hire temporary workers”

SNIPPET: “The Naperville City Council temporarily lifted the hiring freeze in order to hire some temporary workers.
The council authorized City Manager Doug Krieger to recruit externally and hire 32 temporary/seasonal employees for the summer for a total cost of $267,551. The amount represents a 38 percent cost reduction from the prior year. Last year the city hired 57 temporary/seasonal employees throughout seven city departments. Temporary/seasonal employees do not receive benefits.”

SNIPPET: “The Cordish Co. will host a job fair at Fourth Street Live next Tuesday, to recruit employees for the restaurant and entertainment establishments at the downtown venue.
The March 10 job fair takes place from 1 to 7 p.m. at Tengo sed Cantina restaurant.
Cordish also is having a similar job fair the same day at its Power Plant Live center in downtown Baltimore.”
