I made aimilar comment recently and a FReeper recommended the book Shattered Sword. It is written from the Japaneese side. Turns out the movie and much other history of the battle was written by Lt (cdr?) Fuchida, and he misreported many many events. I bought and read the book...... very very good especially if you like Midway.
