We live in interesting times.

Yep...by next year at this time next year our money could be worthless so live it up until at least Jan 20th. Things were so bad with Santa this year he said we got the last lump of coal.

My better 3/4 is baking a small Roast Beast to go with the smashed garlic taters, mushroom gravy, biscuits, green beans, okra and cranberry jello salad washed down with lots of 3 Buck Chuck. We will have pumpkin pie made with real home grown pumpkins...

The kids and I are fixing baked yams and pan seared New Yorks. Side of sauteed onions and mushrooms, green salad, some very hearty 7 whole grain bread and stuffed baked apples for dessert. Hey, it’s Christmas.

We’ll suffer through the grilled lamb leg, tomatoes, feta and pocket bread next Thursday.

We’ve got a good stash of Spam, rice and kidney beans for next Christmas and New Years.

I wonder if TMS will sell a lot of tix this April. I read they will sell the first two rows of the backstretch for $20 each. WOW, terrible place to sit anyway even if it were free.

Unfortunately Jr cut back on the 5 car schedule NW this next year so I doubt he will be running both. Not worth the price of pitpasses just for the Cup race. The Thursday NW practice was so much better, there were so few people there.

Hey there WCG. Had a great Christmas. It snowed all day and night. The kids grabbed their sleds around midnight, and slid down the hill until 3 in the morning. LOL. They got to sleep in till noon (and give dad a chance to bulldoze the house after yesterday). Got over a foot of snow and it finally just stopped. I love my Honda snowthrower!

Pete-R-Bilt is coming over for some Christmas cheer in a bit, while grandma has taken the kids to the mall. Now for some rest and relaxation. </Elmer Fudd voice> (some west and wee-wax-ation).

That's my story. Hope you had a great Christmas too.

I'm taking vacation time from work, so I've gotten to spend a lot of time with family and friends.
