Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen.
First off, I apologize for the vanity, but I have a serious question for any Mark Levin fans out there.
Are you having difficulty listening to his program on XM Channel 166 in the evenings?
His program begins at 5 PM CST, and is supposed to run to 7 PM CST.
That said, XM has been pulling his show off the air at 6 PM CST, and the channel then broadcasts a recorded message stating that XM Channel 166 is temporarily off the air.
Now, this could happen every now and again for whatever technical reason. However, I notice that Mark's show has been disrupted and pulled off the air several different times over the past 1-2 weeks.
Why is XM pulling his show off at 6 PM CST like this? It angers me because I somehow sense that this might be a taste of things to come under the Censorship Doctrine?
Mark, Sean and Rush are the only ones I trust for news and information whenever I am away from the computer and Free Republic.
My question to everyone is this: Are you also having a hard time receiving Mark Levin's show on XM Channel 166?
I called the company, and they told me that his show is "on the air," but it's not.

I thought it was just me. 166 has been cutting out a lot lately, I thought it was signal interference even though other channels came in fine.
This seems to be happening lately what with the merger
(lineup changes Nov 12-on). The message will come on and then it’ll suddenly get back to programming. Hopefully fixed soon.
While there have been some channels that definitely are “off”
for now (like Cinemagic, which returns on Jan 1), this sounds like just tech. difficulties which I hope won’t last.
I believe this will especially hold true if Obama and his communists attack Rush, Sean and Mark.
Satellite Radio could make a comeback if they would listen to Americans who just want honest on-air information.
That's what Mark, Sean and Rush provide for us.
Everyone else is full of pro-Obama nonsenese.
I haven’t noticed it on Mark Levin, but then I’m not able to listen to him that much.
158 during the Quinn and Rose show was often screwed up there for a while but not lately.
>>>>>Well, XM needs to realize that their dying company can be salvaged if they boost their Talk Radio channels. <<<<<
What makes you think the Fairness Doctrine wont apply to Satellite too???
I listen to Mark Levin by Podcast.. its free and no commercials.
It shouldn’t - Satellite does not have licenses that come up for FCC renewal, as far as I know - the fairness doctrine only applies to the public “airwaves.” Just like the FCC doesn’t get to tell govern cable.
Of course, it was the FCC that held up the XM/Sirus merger after the DOJ approved it, asking for guarantees regarding rates, and the addition of “community” stations, and I couldn’t figure out where they had any say in the matter!
What makes you think the Fairness Doctrine wont apply to Satellite too???
Because it is a subscription service.
I love the podcast. True, it’s a day late and you can’t call in, but it’s a great way to spend an hour — especially when you’re riding BART through Berkeley.
I listen to WXLM.104.7 Fm from New London and I even heard Christmas music when Mark Levin is on for his two hours. Hannity keeps cutting out ever few seconds and Savage is right on time every time.I have learned to deal with it but it gets frustrating knowing it is being hacked by the “friends of Barry”! Fairness Doctrine be damned.
America Right, America Left and one adjacent have been ending programming in the early evening here on the East coast.
They claim they’re reprogramming long term.
How knows, maybe they’re cutting back on outside feeds to save money.
Yup I guess it’s not really a tech problem as I had guessed...sports pre-emptions a big part of it? Someone
mentions a lot of college sports & NBA on Tue & Thu nights.
Both 166 and 167, America Right and America Left, affected.
Still comes in just fine on Sirius....
Sounds like anotber good reason to not get XM.
I wish Mark would go on Shortwave, and SW is free.
I couldn’t agree more. If I was Sirius XM I would be advertising the fact that they have talk radio favorites like Hannity, Beck, Levin, Ingraham etc. along with their own great Bauer and Rose and Wilkow majority shows....
honestly I would, if i was them, put out an add warning of the likely coming of the fairness doctrine and how as a subscription service they are immune; then publicize how great their conservative talk offerings are then at the end say they even have talk for the lefties (america left/sirius left) and a little on that so the Left can’t claim they are in the conservative tank when they are just trying to get some extra $$
honestly if it was spun that way though, their finances would drastically improve... heck, its talk radio that got me to join
