Still does not explain how to vote, how to rate numerous candidates, or what it means in the end:
NOTE:
"Vote for your choice, though the editors reserve the right to disagree. Their selection will be announced in the December 29th issue of TIME, on sale Dec. 19" Any more questions?

“The left will implode if Palin gets it over Obama.”
Since when did Time Magazine ever help anyone other than the left?

Personally, I think Michael Phelps has a legit claim to be person of the year.

They even had Mugabe on the list along with a bunch of ChiComs and mooselimbs. But, Obama will get the nod because this is Time magazine in partnership with CNN and they will not let Obama down.

Sarah and Barak seem to be tied for first so far, with average ratings of 7 each.
But I’m sure they’ll find some way to give it to Holy Hussein.

Obama will no doubt get the prize, but it would be funny if Sarah beat him in the poll.

I liked this poll. I could give every person on the list I didn’t like a “1”.

lets get mugabe on that cover, it would be interesting

Actually the poll is pretty insulting. How dare they consider that whack-job from Iran along side Gov. Palin and Senator McCain! And what’s with even considering the repressive leaders of China?! Then there’s the guy they even admit stole an election in Africa... WTF is wrong with these people?

Hitler was the Man of the year in 38 or so.
It has to do with who had the most impact this year.
Palin lost an election but energized Conservatives.
Obama won an election. That’s it.
The Chinese folks on there had the olympics. wow.

Usually in a Presidential election year, whoever wins the election is Man of the Year. I don’t know if they followed that rule in 2000 or 2004, though.

Gov Palin = 29K - avr rating 6
Zero = 17K - avr rating 8
How?

It must be Obama—no guesses here. His face will be on every magazine for six months.
