Amen to the arrogant twits thing! They all think senators are “Princes in Waiting”. Term limits of two years for a senator should slow down their thievery—or better yet, eliminate the senate.
Right on!
I'm guessing that many of those are the same "lifelong republicans" who are interviewed by the networks every four years .. and who donate to the Democrat Party but not to conservatives.
I suspect you’re right.
Governor, Senator, maybe, but that is as far as she will rise.
We’ll find out in 3 years. I have a bad feeling that the novelty factor will begin to erode Sarah’s run for the WH.
The bright side is that unlike Governor, Senator is a job you can just blow off ror nearly 2 years running for President. Personally, I think it does make sense for her to stay Governor, let Parnell go to the Senate.
Agreed. I love Palin and think she’s a wonderful person, but the Left’s day and night slander campaign paid off for them. We should no longer consider her a viable national candidate.
And it would be truly terrible if come 2012 she runs in the primaries and siphons off conservatives from a more viable candidate.
Yeah and the next guy we want to put up...The media destroys him...Oh well, no longer viable.
Look, let’s not play this bull game. If you let the media destroy candidates and you don’t defend them, you are basically asking for it. You will never get anything done. She’s not Dan Quayle and give her time on her own and she will establish that by 2012 for sure.
Barack Obama was "unelectable" in April of this year.
Here’s one of your 8%. Isn’t the brilliance breathtaking?
No, she should stay Governor, and find a kindred spirit in AK to appoint to the Senate to fill Stevens’ seat.
“If you let the media destroy candidates and you dont defend them, you are basically asking for it. You will never get anything done.”
Well said.
Well put. Sarah has been admittedly roughed-up by the vermin in the media, but she can and will quickly recover. Her star is too big and bright. And, she’s one tough cookie, to put it mildly. This is not remotely similar to the Dan Quayle situation. Bank on it. Too many folks are looking at her through the perspective of this week, and the big loss.
You gotta be kidding.
Gov Plain couldn't be more different from Dan Quayle.
I don't remember Dan Quayle generating the kinds of wild enthusiasm, and huge crowds that Gov Palin generated in these elections.
If you are referring to the ridiculous Newsweak/Carl Cameron smears, they have been totally discredited. Didn't happen. all made up:

“Governor, Senator, maybe, but that is as far as she will rise.”
In your dreams perhaps?
The good old glass ceiling for women huh?
In real life, if she stood today, she will easily win the Republican nomination, even if she had to run against John McCain. Check out the Rasmussen poll here:

I agree! We don’t need to punish her with the Senate. She’s better off running as a Gov.
Is say Yea!!!
She could campaign openly, just like the O did. In addition, keep a closer eye on the seriously recalcitrant congress.
Nice tack I say.
If it is Constitutionally possible, once Stevens goes, appoint herself.
Piss them off (as sun tzu says) as much as possible. That would make them seriously unhinged. A necessity this upcoming campaign season, IMHO.
She absolutely needs a higher, national stage to begin the homespun critique of the dl marxist Prograzis.
btw... A Troll litmus test...
Are the nazis on the left or right? If answer; on right. . . Troll.
Droppin’ g’s and takin’ names. Eat me Peggy.

“NO........ being in the senate is a killer... as a rule we never elect people from the senate... the senate would ruin her...”
It was just done after 143 days and nothing but present votes.
She needs to gum up the works and name, names. . . to borrow a campaign phrase. Talk about developing a national to do list. . .

“can we promise ourselves that we won’t tear down every candidate like we did last time?”
NO, especially if you put up Mitt or people like him!
