Did the guy have a way to tap your own sinuses at home to drain them? Everything is clogged, it even hurts behind my eyes.

I know how you feel. Hubby brought a cold home from work and I’m on my peak day today. My aches have pains!
I take Vit C daily, but it didn’t help this one.

Drop a cough drop in a cup.
Add teabag of your choice.
Add tablespoon of honey.
Add one shot of GINGER brandy.
Add one tablespoon of lemon juice.
Add one teaspoon of vinegar.
Add boiling water.
Sip while boiling hot and it's all gone.

Saline nasal spray.
I prefer the pressurized can marketed as “Simply Saline”. (http://www.blairex.com/SimplySalineReg.php )
I discourage the menthol product, it's too strong for me. Try the plain white can first.
Or ask your pharmacist about sinus irrigation products.
Also a product called “Ponaris” works well for chronic dry sinuses, IMHO. ( http://www.ponaris.net/ )

This is your lucky night FRiend, because I have some answers for you.
First of all, you need to loosen up the congestion that is probably packed into your sinus, if you don't have a pulsating shower head (preferably on a separate hose), get one and try to get one that really puts out some pressure.
Second, get a good expectorant syrup with the active ingredient Guaifenesin which is pretty much the industry standard for thinning out secretions and helping to break up congestion in the chest (but will work on the sinus).
Third, get a vitamin supplement known as 'Olive Leaf Extract', should be available in most health food stores, and in some larger grocery store vitamin and pharmacy sections. It comes in 500 mg capsules.
Start taking the Olive Leaf Extract three times a day, morning, noon and night, start with (2) capsules of 500 mg each. You will actually feel a bit worse before you start feeling better because Olive Leaf Extract is a powerful anti-toxin that will flush out all sorts of bad stuff from your body, sinus included.
Take the maximum recommended dose of the expectorant syrup, and head to the shower where you turn up the hot water as high as you can stand it, and then set the shower head to 'pulsate' and aim it right at your forehead, and the cheek area, just below your eyes (be sure to close your eyes). The pulsating action will help to break up all that junk that is packed in there. Have a wet washcloth handy to vigorously blow your nose as everything starts breaking up.
Stay in the shower for 10 to 15 minutes as you're able, when you get out, don't open the bathroom door right away, let the steam do some passive work on your sinus.
After you dry yourself off, get your wife or girlfriend to take a dropper full of hydrogen peroxide, and drip it into first, your right ear. You will feel a bubbling and crackling sensation and that will be all the built up wax being dissolved, but more importantly the hydrogen peroxide will help kill germs and bacteria in the ear canal. Let the hydrogen peroxide soak into your ear for about 3 to 5 minutes (you obviously have to lay on your side for this), then repeat for the left ear.
If you follow the steps above, I can almost guarantee that your sinus will clear up to the point where you are breathing freely 24 hours a day. I know, because it worked for me. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.
Good Luck!

Mucinex nasal spray. I had a really horrible cold in February or March and could hardly breath. That was the only thing that would clear my sinuses enough to be able to sleep. It was a miracle for me.
