He’s God’s emissary. More people need to know about him, he’s only on 100 stations but unfortunately are slowly losing them.

I hear him on XM's "America Right" channel.

November 5th - Guy Fawkes Day. Every year.

I guess it has special meaning here this year.

Masters and his FHU has been accused of cult-like tendencies over the years; his followers have been called 'Roybots.'" (Source: http://conwebwatch.tripod.com/stories/2006/wndmasters.html)

Some of Masters' followers apparently have longed earned the nickname of "Roybots" according to conwebwatch.tripod.com.

You know, Roy Masters has an agenda.

"The goal of ConWebWatch is to document the distortions, excesses and hypocrisy of conservative media sites. Using their own words, ConWebWatch hoists the conservative media on the petard of hypocrisy, accuracy and objectivity."

"I became employed by Media Matters for America in July 2004, but ConWebWatch remains my personal venture financially and editorially separate from that organization"

So now you're using a Media Matters stooge to try to discredit Roy Masters. The lengths that some people won't go through to smear someone.

As for Bob Larsen, I used to listen to him all the time also until he disappeared from radio under a cloud of his own misgivings, he has his own ton of critics out there so I'm not sure why you feel his credibility on anything is something beyond reproof.

As for Roy Masters AGENDA, just what is his agenda praytell? And mine? And then YOURS?

Thanks for the ping! I was at bond meeting.

Good for you, it's unfortunate Jesse and Roy both hold their meetings on the West coast and at about the same time, I would need 2 computers in order to watch both live online.

Luckily they both offer archives of them so we can have the best of both worlds. :)

He’s trying to shake you bible thumbers loose a little from your dependence on the bible. He wants you to find the real teacher within. He uses that language to shock you, because you are so asleep. It is the only thing that seems to stir you. Thinking you know Jesus and God when you only have words. If you were in a cave and had a book that described the sun, and how it feels, and how bright it is you might imagine that you knew the sun. But once outside in the warmth and light of the sun, you would see the difference. Roy teaches a judeo-christian meditation that brings you into the presence of the God, where you can see for yourself the truth of things and God can act directly through you.

Well, I'm glad you admit that this is his goal & agenda. Frankly, non-Bible readers could use more Bible reading. Oh, and BTW, Masters reads the Bible enough only to quote it enough both to give him an aura of authenticity...plus not appear too extreme out there. (IOW, Masters reads the Bible whereever it can advantageous for him to quote it).

Frankly. People have spent their lifetimes and lives preserving the Bible over the centuries; translating it; and even dying or risking their all to "smuggle" it into countries where the governments there have tried to stamp it out. If it's been worth that much even at the subjective level (never mind it being the objective revelation of God), how dare people like Masters treat it like used toilet paper!!!

I like Roy, he’s a gentleman and a brilliant thinker, but because I know God through His direct revelation to mankind, the Holy bible, I know that I am not God, that Roy is not God, and that no one, not even Obama’s Red Guard or Black Guards will pry it out of my thumbs or heart, even when I’m dead.

You didn’t read what I wrote. Take a deep breath, and let it out slowly and re read what I read. Did I say the bible wasn’t great? Did I say that Roy doesn’t want people to read the bible? NO...the bible is supposed to lead us to the place where we experience God for ourselves. Didn’t Jesus say he would send a ‘comforter’ when he’s gone? He doesn’t read it alot because you bible thumpers are doing a fine job of that. He says the bible is the greatest book ever written. But it is a sign post, pointing to a direct relationship with our Father.

That’s why we have the bible, like good Bereans we can search the scriptures to see whether or not the things men say are true.

What is a Bereans? Can't you tell whether things are true or not? How do you know the bible is true? How do you know some evil person didn't stick lies in there to trip you up. That is what Roy wants you to find again, your ability to see right and wrong for yourself. The bible will witness to it.

Bereans were Greeks who were mentioned in the book of Acts:

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men." (Acts 17:10-12)

Reason alone can reveal some truth to men, but it cannot reveal spiritual truth. Calvin wrote. “The testimony of the Spirit is superior to reason. Scripture carrying its own evidence along with it deigns not to submit to proofs and arguments, but owes the full conviction with which we ought to receive it to the testimony of the Holy Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit is indeed the Comforter that God sends and He is the One who reveals all truth.

God cannot lie, and He says over and over in the scriptures that His Word is Truth.

John MacArthur explains it this way:

I believe the Bible to be the Word of God, the same way I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, the same way I believe God to be the God of Scripture who is a holy Trinity, the same way I believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone and that is because God has wrought that confidence in my heart. Does it stand the test of reason? Yes. But that is not the source of that conviction. It is the inner witness of the Spirit to our hearts. It is the Spirit that witnesses with our spirit that we are the children of God. It is the Spirit that witnesses with our spirit that the Word of God is in fact true and reliable.

What you just wrote made me dizzy. With all due respect, because I suspect you are a nice, decent guy, at least give the other side a few minutes consideration. I always thought that God would not make it hard for the sincere at heart to find him, even if the never met another christian or read the bible. I just thought a seeking heart was enough. I believe it still....

Have you ever heard of Madame Guyon? She lived in the 16th century I believe. She taught a silent prayer and believed you could have union with God. The titles of her books are...Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ, Union with God and Experiencing Union with God through Inner Prayer. She was put in prison, can you guess why?

Well if that made you dizzy, we won't even broach the Christian doctrine of Election

One tenet of Judaism and Christianity is that God seeks men, not the other way around, which is linked to the doctrine of election that is taught in the scriptures.

God saves whomever He wills to be saved-- if that person never had the opportunity to hear and receive the Gospel, then God deals with him differently. We don't pretend to tell God what to do

Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and all believers have union with God through the Holy Spirit.
