Can the Dems Reinstitute the "Fairness Doctrine"?
MSM | 11/9/2008 | self

Considering the level of hate and support offered up by the MSM during the Bush era is it really possible or likely that the Dems will be able to pass a version of the "Fairness Doctrine" that will kill talk radio?

what would they have to do to get past a concerted fight at the Supreme Court?

What examples of 'hate' could they bring that are not countered by the comment to kill Henry Hyde and his family?

Comments please-

I hear you. I hope you are wrong and that folks will wake up. Sometimes a people must lose what they treasure most to understand the necessity to act. It is my belief that the American people are more savy than that. Until I’m proven wrong, I’ll continue to hold onto this optomistic view.

Have you taken a look at the composition of the new Congress? You bet they can. And will.

I don't think congress will have to do it. The FCC can simply pass a regulation.

As of now the FCC is composed of 5 members: 3 repubs and 2 dems. The composition will change in 2009 (I think) and congress will most likely appoint a demo. to be the head.
