The alternate site was not that good, very few posts I saw, like 4 or 5.

A forum doesn't magically appear all on its own, for your personal benefit and enjoyment. It takes the participation of lots of people to create. You could have helped make it happen.

If you'd stuck around a while at altFreeRepublic yesterday, you would have seen it growing by the hour as more and more Freepers found their way there.

A couple of us went to the Yahoo group and posted the URL so others could find us. Jelibn took the responsibility to put up a proper forum, all on his own, so that we had somewhere to organize our discussions. Much, much better than the "group" platform over at Yahoo.

So, did you find someplace to gather with other Freepers yesterday, besides the dreaded Yahoo group?

since this thread is a vanity that is a waste of time and FR space, guess it is totally worthless.

However, what this thread is doing is giving a forum to discuss pertinent posts like yours. Maybe we can get information as to where to go and how to read/post there and offer encouragement to those of us who tried to navigate those alt sites.

I went onto the alt sites several times throughout the day, and maybe I just didn’t understand “how ‘ to navigate it cause I did not see the movement of posts. I apapreciate what Jelibn did and will try to utilize that again if this happens. thanks for your post to help others.
