Sometimes it’s not a conspiracy.

Sometimes it’s just plain stupidity.

ROFL! What is a neo-con and how is Romney not one of them?

Consider that O'Reilly offered McCain 30 minutes to go up against the Obamercial. He refused.

Is this true? Do you have a source link?

that’s strange.... when did McCain secure the nomination? wasn’t it after Feb 08?

Why would he set something up named McCain/Palin in 2/08? Was it back dated?

I thought there was real substance to this claim, until I read it might have been done to defeat Ron Paul.

No, it was all a conspiracy to stop the juggernaut of true conservatism: Mitt Romney.

BUMP for excellence in freeping. Nice work. I don’t know if there is anything to it, but nice work anyway. Good food for thought.

Because Romney went against the Bush plan for illegal amnesty, at which point Bush supported McCain and crushed Romney’s candidacy. Romney is clearly viewed as an insurgent by Bush’s neocon team.

I was wondering if in Feb the campaign set up compliance funds/corporations for any of their possible tickets... maybe they set up a few of them to cover all the possibilities?

If the Palin one is the only one they set up, that IS weird.

Do you think that if Bell Telephone was formed as a Delaware Corporation that it would still say Bell Telephone and not AT&T in its current listing?   ;-)

Romney for President, of New American Motors

Someone has going to have a hard to convincing me that McCain truly wanted to win the Presidency. He accomplished what he really wanted : the GOP nomination.

After capturing the nom, he was just going through the motions.

Surely they must know that Romney will take any position he has to in order to win. It’s hardly as though he has any deeply held convictions about immigration or anything else for that matter.

I dunno...this all sounds pretty flimsy to me.

Oh, and again. What is a neo-con?

I don’t buy the whole ‘neo-con conspiracy’ thing. Frankly, Republicans aren’t smart enough for that kind of thing. But if you want to say that Soros and McCain were in bed together, that would make perfect sense. McCain/Feingold is what allowed Soros to gain control of the Dem party.

Man, tin foil hats all around! :D

Neocons == Da Jooooooooos!

Yet another conspiracy by the evil Jewish overlords to keep Mitt Romney, the World Greatest Conservative, from rising to power.

So, assuming this theory is entirely accurate, the Dems crossed over to give us the McCain nomination, and then he played along to give them their win...?

If this story is true, it’s diabolical.

My question also.

Remember that Pamela Geller (AtlasShrugs) & Michelle Malkin were supporting Romney against McCain.

Sorry, but the fund was originally named the “JOHN MCCAIN 2008 GENERAL COMPLIANCE FUND” when it was established on February 25.
It was subsequently renamed to the “McCain-Palin Compliance Fund” after her selection.

Nice try, though.

Dang, I knew it...

I don’t understand why they hate Mitt so much. He’s just so conservative and dreamy...

This is why I read FreeRepublic. Facts always surface thanks to FReepers with real knowledge.

Thanks!

(This does not mean that McCain did not run the most useless campaign since Dole.)
