For the last 8 years I have been disgusted with the way that liberals have treated George W. Bush. They have whined and complained day in and day out about every silly little thing, never doing anything to advance a substantive political philosophy other than "we are not Bush" "we hate Bush."
Sadly enough, there are many Freepers who are beginning to fall victim to this tragic disorder now that Obama has been elected president. It is tantamount to crying wolf, because reasonable people pay attention to these shallow arguments, realize that they are wasting their time, and then have no energy to listen to the arguments that truly count.
We can do better than this.
Please, lets focus on the real substantive issues and save our emotional energy for distinguishing our ideas from Obama's ideas, and demonstrating why ours work and his don't.
Bush did not have "evil" intentions, and neither does Obama. Hate is not a political philosophy. To pursue it as such will guarantee our demise.
“I want to treat the next president with the respect that the libs treated the last.”
In general, thats why.
In general, thats why.
Respect is a two way street. To get it you have to give it. Obama is the most disrespectful (among other things) politician to come down the pike in a long time.
He even disrespects, and treats with contempt, the very people who elected him. It has always been so with the elitists. Useful idiots are alive and well in the world. Obama, and everyone else concerned, shouldn't be surprised (or bothered) when Obama doesn't receive respect from others. Simply, he just doesn't deserve it.
The reason people are mesmerized by him and we are not able to attack him personally is because he has no personality, is a good speaker saying nothing, and people can’t figure it out. He is a mirage, a puppet, but they don’t know it yet. There is a ventriloquist behind the scenes, but until we find out who it is, people will continue to listen to the music of the pied-piper.
