For the last 8 years I have been disgusted with the way that liberals have treated George W. Bush. They have whined and complained day in and day out about every silly little thing, never doing anything to advance a substantive political philosophy other than "we are not Bush" "we hate Bush."
Sadly enough, there are many Freepers who are beginning to fall victim to this tragic disorder now that Obama has been elected president. It is tantamount to crying wolf, because reasonable people pay attention to these shallow arguments, realize that they are wasting their time, and then have no energy to listen to the arguments that truly count.
We can do better than this.
Please, lets focus on the real substantive issues and save our emotional energy for distinguishing our ideas from Obama's ideas, and demonstrating why ours work and his don't.
Bush did not have "evil" intentions, and neither does Obama. Hate is not a political philosophy. To pursue it as such will guarantee our demise.

I beg to differ with you...We know so little about the ONE..but the people he has surrounded himself with certainly don’t show any love for the US....He will require CAREFUL watching....
No, I do not want to reach across the Aisle. I did not even imply that.
Why do you feel the need to talk down to Freepers?
That's something, uh, interesting wording.
I want to treat the next president with the respect that the libs treated the last.
As the Thug-Elect is so fond of saying, it's time that CONSERVATIVES GET IN PEOPLES FACES.
“Hate is not a political philosophy.”
Tell that to his supporters

I have no idea what you are talking about.
Wrong on the last one.
Bush did not have “evil” intentions, and neither does Obama.
::::::::::
While I would tend, in general, to agree with you about Bush, I TOTALLY DISAGREE with you about Obama. In my frame of reference, that of pro-Constitutional Americanism and patriotism, Obama FAILS all meaningful tests. He is, and will be judged, by WHAT HE DOES....not by what he says because he is an established liar by his own words.
Anti-Americanism represents HATE, and his disregard for the essence of the Constitution also represents HATE for the core being of America, a land of written laws bestowing rights and liberties he is so anxious to take away and compromise.
Again, sorry, but I totally disagree with your evaluation of Obama and his intent.
Your state is about to let a lunatic pussy like Franken steal a senate seat and you are here to lecture us ?
Gimme a f'n break
“Bush did not have “evil” intentions, and neither does Obama”
Wrong!
Infanticide is evil!
Partial Birth Abortion is evil!
Zero supports both.
Higher taxes I can stand, killing the innocent is evil and I will not tolerate it!
I hope no one is ‘offended’.
I agree. Also - if you believe, as I do, that the Constitution was Divinely inspired to some degree, Obama’s threat against the first and second amendments (and others I’m sure) also can be considered “evil”.
And at the least, un-American.
Same here. Didn't the libs call Bush "chimp"?
I was taught to shoot to kill.
The arguments that kill are the ones that completely take apart the opposing viewpoint.
You can take apart Obama, but his viewpoint will still remain.
All I am saying is make the arguments count and quit wasting energy on the arguments that detract from the ones that do count.
