I like my oats with a good ladle full of stewed meat, some broth and lots of salt and pepper.

I actually use rolled oats as a thickener/texturizer in various soups and stews.

It’s fairly flavor neutral like that.

Interesting use of oats. Never thought of using it that way. Would Quaker Instant work?
