given that her great-great-grandaddy was Herbert Hoover

Nepotism always leads to inbreeding and incompetence.

Fox is garbage. Watch the football games instead (Broncos vs. Browns, Utah vs. TCU) and you will enjoy the evening much more than watching the propaganda on news channels.

Next, after gay “marriage”, some moron will demand that he be known as a child’s “mother”, or a ditz will insist on legal protection for her title as “Father”. Don’t they know that changing the words used cannot change how decent people view the reality? In fact, pushing to use force will increase our motivation to teach our kids exactly how perverse such things really are, when we might otherwise not have mentioned them at all because the topics are so bizarre.

From Wikipedia....

Margaret Hoover received a B.A. in Spanish Language Literature with a minor in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College in 2001.

She worked for Bush-Cheney ‘04, Inc. and was the Deputy-Press Secretary to Florida Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart on Capitol Hill.

She then held a White House appointment in the Bush Administration and also served as a senior advisor to the Deputy Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security.

She's not really a conservative. She's been poisoned by the Bush admin.

She has joined David Brooks, David Frum, George Will, McCain Palin Staff, McClellan, Powell, etc.

The other thing is blacks otherwise known as Obama voters supported it by 70%

Golly. She sounds like a chip off the old block.

Here’s Silent Cal’s assessment of Hoover:

“That man has offered me unsolicited advice for six years, all of it bad.”

I saw her say exactly the same thing several weeks ago on the Factor - when I was still watching Fox....(I have now come to my senses and haven’t turned it on since 6:30 election night).

Yep - that’s her thoughts on the matter...

Amazing, isn’t it?

"...but the kids of her generation will overturn it."

We don't have to wait for 'kids of her generation' since this is going before the CA Supreme Court and given it is a state constitution issue it will NOT go on to the Fed Supreme Court, so be prepared to have the amendment struck down by the CA Supreme Court.

The reason they will give in overturning it is that since they have already ruled on the validity of, and upheld, Gay Marriage based on 'the constitution' because nothing in the constitution prohibits it, then the passing of this amendment rips apart that very same constitution and is therefore unconstitutional.

Hoover is a RINO. Part of the same John McCain-country-club faction of the Republican party that has half of the FReepers looking to secede and the other half drunk right now because of our massive loss Tuesday.

It’s going to take a while to get the clowns out of the “big tent.”

I’ve seen her a few times on O’Reilly.

She’s a very dim bulb. Kind of Hasselbeck Lite. Which is why OBigMouth likes her.

Hoover is pro-abortion and pro-gay rights. That’s all I need to know about her. Apparently she is a relation to former President Herbert Hoover.

She’s a dem operative in the repub party...nothing more and nothing less.

I am a middle aged conservative and a follower of Jesus. I traveled (airplane and driving) all day to get to my Illinois precinct to vote for McCain/Palin and Mark Kirk. I did not hear the interview you refer to, but I have given much thought and study to communication. I think we do need to listen to and not just dismiss what she is saying. We older and "wiser" conservatives need to attempt to understand the vernacular of the next generation (Obama did), so that we may have a chance at communicating with them. Through effective communication, we might just learn what it is they "get" Effective communication (interactive) certainly increases our chances of influencing the younger generations. And we just might be surprised to learn that we are closer in thought and values than we think.

What also comes to mind is a lesson learned in Scripture. When the returning Israelites returned from exile to rebuild the temple (Book of Ezra), we find the new temple foundation being laid by the younger generation. The older generation could only watched. (Ezra 3:10-13)

There were shouts of joy combined with weeping. What's interesting to note is that it was the COMBINED sound that was heard far away. It was the combined sound of all the people that the far away enemies heard. The combination of the sounds created a stronger message. Could we consider that as an option rather than drawing lines to identify "true conservatives"?

Ezra 3:10-13
“When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their places to praise the LORD, as prescribed by David king of Israel. With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the LORD :
‘He is good;his love to Israel endures forever.’
And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.

Margaret Hoover, great grand daughter of Herbert Hoover, is what is wrong with the Republican party. Because of people like her, it strikes me that it may be time to really change the name and organization of the Republican Party. There is a reason there are Libertarians..they want less govt but have some ideas that don’t comport with conservatism. Maybe there is a need for a grass roots movement for a real conservative party. How to put that together I don’t know.I just think within the GOP we need our own revolution.
