After George W. Bush defeated Al Gore, and later John Kerry, for the presidency, countless Democrat-owned cars bore bumper stickers with clever phrases like 'Not My President' or 'Don't Blame Me I Voted for Kerry'.
As a conservative evangelical Christian who voted for McCain-Palin, and for every other Republican on the ballot yesterday, let me say for the record: Barack Obama is my president.
I stayed up past midnight to watch his victory speech. I wept (a little less than Jesse Jackson) because the moment stirred me with gratitude for how God has thus far corrected America's most crippling birth defect -- racist discrimination.
I take my president-elect at his word when he says to those who didn't vote for him: "I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your president too."
Mr. President, the best thing you can do for us is to lead a new generation to live out the American dream as you have. In other words, President Obama, I pray that your example will serve to create a wave of citizens whose lives follow your own storyline.
This would produce an America comprised of people who...
* can choose where to school their children (as your Mom chose private school for you), * work hard to achieve their goals, * dedicate themselves to lifelong learning, * marry persons of the opposite sex and remain faithful to them, * bear living children and bring them up in a two-parent home, * take advantage of free markets and their own skills to earn money, * negotiate their own compensation, * manage that money responsibly, * demonstrate a willingness to serve our nation.
Mr. President, while your official policy statements envision a nation very different from the one that produced your extraordinary success story, I know that you're still relatively new to civic life and you seem willing to learn. You strike me as a quick study, who can really make a difference when he sets his mind to it.
Leaders tend to attract people who are like them, and to inspire people to emulate them. Sometimes it's hard to recognize the factors that have shaped our own existence. Take a moment to consider how your life exemplifies the principles that have made this nation great.
What we need now is not policies to implement your stated ideology. We need for you to recognize the true power behind your own inspiring story.
As long as I have a breath in me, that thing will NEVER be my President.....I did not vote for him, and I reject him as my President...I respect the office, but not him....
Not at all. You need to understand what he is doing - first by not repeating the actions of the Left, and second by noting that there are no excuses left for black people to fail in the USA and that he should advocate the advantages that he got (not aborted, private schooling, free-market based income, etc) to the black community.
Understand that aint likely to happen, but I see the irony that the author is trying to get across
Well I guess he’s trying to be civil about it, I’m not there.
If he had won fair and square he would be my President. But he won by lying about his beliefs and his past, aided by a complicit press. If the media has been unbiased, he wouldn’t have had more than 30 percent support. But he and the media are both fundamentally dishonest. And who knows how much vote fraud there was?
This was the final result of a long worked for marxist revolution. He is NOT my president. He in no way respects the office.
He wants to draft my daughter. He can’t have her.
He wants schools to be able to send 12 year olds to get abortions, and not tell you.
The time is near that the constitution will either be reaffirmed, or finally abandoned. Those college kids, those old white liberals, those Mexican nationals, who voted for him, ass see it as just another odd thing that happened in the 1700s.
To them its about as relevant as the battle of Waterloo.
They in no way feel bound by it.
We live by the constitution, and the laugh at us. They moved on to the implementation of the communist manifesto several years ago.
Is this perhaps SATIRE?
My thoughts exactly. The man lied his way through a presidential campaign and I am suppose to believe him now? Incredible. As for his story...which one is the author talking about? The one his family tells (born in Kenya,etc...) or the one his ghost writer tells? Or the one hidden away behind a cloak of secrecy? The man is a fraud and criticized everything I believe in (religion, life, freedom) and I am suppose to wake up today and feel love towards his presidency? Amazing!! And, no way in hell.
I will give Obama the same support the Marxist of this country gave Bush. That said, I don’t think the skinny little racist Muslim anti-White anti-Semitic phony will keep it together long enough to earn anyone’s respect.

And another thing, he will be lying when he takes the oath of office, promising to uphold the Constitution. I wonder if he will change the oath?
Obama is no ordinary democrat who happens to just hold a different view of taxation....He is a threat to the republic who sees the Constitution and the Republic as flawed and wants to radically change it...
This is serious stuff and he is not our President.
I remember in one of the presidential debates Hussein the Marxist looked straight at McCain and said: “It was YOUR president (i.e., George Bush) who did that.”
Hussein the Marxist apparently did not think GWB was HIS president, but only the Republicans’. I will take a page from Hussein the Marxist’s playbook: He is only the president of the Democrats, and only those non-Democrats who accept him. I am neither a Democrat, nor do I accept him. He is not MY president, and I will give him the same respect and deference the left gave GWB.
Guys, relax.
Life goes on, and the GOP will be back. EVERY TIME a party is in the majority for too long, they become corrupt. Bank it.
That led to the GOP losses, and it will lead to Dem losses.
Yeah, I am worried about what Obama will do in the meantime.
But, the time to fight against his policies is when he proposes them, Congress acts etc.
He is the president. I won’t call him “my” president, as I don’t own him. But, he is the president, and we have to deal with it.
Beeps it Ott. You Otter have your brain examined. Obama is a communist, or did the tears blur out the communist flags and Che T shirts outside the WH last night?
“This is the october revolution in russia,,, this is herr hitler becoming chancellor.”
Exactly!
Oh, and aren’t we better than DU?
Saying he’s not my president and stuff like that is just as bad as DU.
Then again, maybe it proves the point that both sides are just as unable to see past themselves.
Not my President..
“No way I forget, nor forgive, the Liberals treasonous behavior.”
Ditto.
You forgot the “BARF BAG REQUIRED!” tag.......
“I pledge NEVER to bash the man or his family. However I reserve the right to absolutely disagree with my dying breathe any of Pres. Obamas tax increases, spending increases, intrusions on my personal liberty, his administration not defending this country, the constitution, or the ideals of this nation.”
Is accurately portraying him as a leftist radical “bashing”?
His stands on all of the issues you list above stem from this. Why not connect the dots?
