Is FReerepublic being hacked on election day?
It's slow as cold molasses. I'm getting Data Execution Prevention notices from Firefox BIG TIME!
Anyone else noticing this?
No problems found on other sites...
could be a denial of service attack.
I’ve been using beta.freerepublic.com
FR Server or software problems....started having problems this AM. Politicalwit isn’t the only one with a tradition.
The servers are most likely overloaded by vanity posts.
Could be. ...or it could be just a traffic overload.
This a Category F5 day.
F5 being the button that refreshes your browser, which we are all doing every 60 seconds, and slowing down the site.
I had the same problem all FREAKIN day!!!!!
What gives?
Yes, I am too, took forever to get the site open and a long time to get this window open for a reply. Don’t know the reason.
Perhaps, a lot of folks coming here to get a sanity fix?
much faster thanks
It’s the election.
More Power!!!
It’s the election.
More Power!!!
Firefox 2.0.0.17 and very slow. Focus has locked up and I have evil http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/10/acorn_sues_nm_gop_alleging_vot.php stuck in my web address window. Coincidence? Can anyone tell me. Does Freep have some overload servers available somewhere. If we do another Bush v Gore, this time with the riots we need giga servers, no?
I noticed this with most of the popular websites 4,8 years ago.
rushlimbaugh.com is faster this year but they have more money to dump on bandwidth.
It is faster!
Way cool!
Look at the time stamp on your post and then look at the actual time. That’s about how long the site was down earlier. All the newbie trolls seem to have left for the day though, go figure.
I thought it was just me - yes, it takes quite a while to load.
This morning, around 9 am, all I got was one of those white error pages. I was beginning to think FR got hacked by the Dark Side.
*SCHRUGGGS* ...dunno, ya might want to empty your cache, history and check other options....
