Might be a piece of metal to you and me. But it might have much more symbolic meaning to someone like a POW. I don’t know.
Hmm... re-reading the posts, if the ‘ring of death’ is made from a downed American aircraft, I’m guessing the ring in the photo is not the ring in question. The ring in the photo looks like it’s gold, and as far as I can tell airplanes are made primarily of aluminum - any gold present would be in tiny quantities on pieces of circuitry or something similar. Not that I doubt that Ayers has the rings in question, or maybe even wears or displays them, but I’d expect them to look silvery-colored at least.
I agree that the whole concept behind the ‘ring of death’ thing is twisted, but my point was that Obama’s children are still children - to them, it’s likely just a piece of metal as well. Plus, as a kid, did you ever stop trying to con your babysitter into giving you an extra scoop of ice cream or a later bedtime for long enough to even notice that they had jewelry? I know my siblings and I sure didn’t...
