someone posted the numbers from this call-in here on FR a day or two ago. Hard to believe numbers, but we can hope it is correct — if by chance those numbers are correct, then it will be a McCain landslide.

Sorry, I think this guy is pulling the host's chain. McCain ahead in Michigan and New Jersey? McCain behind by one in California with nine percent undecided?
It must be true I heard it on the radio.
(undecided are breaking 4:1 for McCain)
Michigan: McCain 44 0bama 42 Undecided 10
California: 0bama 44 McCain 43 Barr 3 Undecided 10
Pennsylvania: McCain 55 0bama 33 Undecided 10 (among Democrats, 0bama is only ahead 14 points)
I’m very suspicious of this .. sounds like its “too good to be true” .. which means .. it usually is.
The dems have a way of wanting to depress the Republican vote .. and when people hear McCain is so far ahead .. they will stop going to the polls .. figuring their vote is not needed.

I have been through the outer reaches of two suburban Philadelphia counties the last two weekends. Yard signs and bumper stickers are easily running 10-1 for McCain. Pundits and pollsters are telling me that Obama is strong in these areas. Yeah, right.
In the past 5 Presidential elections I have always been able to judge the winner by the number of bumper stickers I see locally. I was concerned in 04 when I was seeing just as many Kerry stickers as I was Bush sticker and sure enough it was a very close race. This year I have seen a fair amount of Obama stickers, but many more for McCain and Palin. So based on my nonscientific method, I am betting that McCain wins the election.
It will be interesting to see if my method holds true for a 6th time.
Remember 2006, he said similar things. If the polls are typical to what they usually are, Obama is in the lead by a slim margin. Let's not fool ourselves that he is not, or that in all likelihood he will win.
