download ccleaner and use it to uninstall quicktime. ccleaner is a good utility to have.

Buy one of these... you won't have to worry about software problems.

Use System restore to restore your PC to a time before the installation of Quicktime.
Then, download and install a program called "Quicktime Alternative". It does what Quicktime does with no Apple software of any kind.
