Hi folks. Yes, this is Lazamataz. This my first and only message on Free Republic in about 2 years, or more. Free Republic was shut down on March 15, 2010, as part of the the Internet Freedom Act of 2009. Jim Robinson was declared a Information Criminal and executed months later. His son still languishes in prison.
It is December 26, 2012. I have found a way to send this message to Free Republic, from the future, to this time. I need to tell you all what happened. It's too late for me, but maybe you can prevent it.
Barack Obama was elected President in a landslide, and Democrats were swept into both Houses to form a fillibuster-proof supermajority. They immediately began disassembling America.
Bush had given them all the tools they needed: The Patriot Act, and the example of nationalizing major industries had been set by his administration.
Obama made sure the economy remained rocky, so that his vision could be realized. He replaced any possible hostile officials in almost every agency. Soon thereafter, he began nationalizing industry after industry, company after company. The Fairness Doctrine was passed within days of his inaugeration, and his handpicked cronies in the FCC made sure that there were no voices of opposition to this naked socialism.
By late 2009, the Congress and Senate passed a massive gun control bill, and -- contrary to the Supreme Court Heller decision -- Obama signed it into law.
The Citizen Enforcement Divisions were set up quickly, which were a citizen police force with military hardware in their hands. They were to round up any 'violating firearms', and people who broke the "Fairness Doctrine" even in their day-to-day speech.
We found ourself very quickly plunged into a dictatorship. Personally, I fled to Texas, where I met up with Squantos and Travis McGee. We formed the core of a leaderless, cell-based resistance movement. Travis and Squantos gave me quick instructions on how to get things done, I helped them learn some really neat computer tricks, and we all went our seperate ways. I began forming resistance cells.
People began to be funneled into reeducation camps -- but of course, they never emerged again. Something very sinister had begun to happen.
The election was held on November 4, 2012. Sarah Palin won, but she was killed in a very mysterious plane crash days later. Obama said he'd need to extend his Presidency for a year or two so a new election could be held, supervised entirely -- of course -- by ACORN.
It's obvious our country is no more. I have left out so many details. I just wanted you to know what is going to happen.

If future you was sending you those messages, then obviously future you has access to current FreeRepublic. Under those conditions, future you could easily read some of the questions that are being posted on current FreeRepublic and email the answers to current you.
Although, time travel need not have been invented. I’m not 100% sure how FR can tell the date and time of the posts made, but I would guess that the forum somehow looks at a clock (either something from the server itself, or on a website somewhere). All you’d have to do is set the clock that they reference for the date and time of posts back 4 years, and presto! You’d post ‘back’ in time without requiring time travel. Just a little thing I learned in my time studying programming...
I suppose he/me/us could answer every question, but the way I've always heard it, you don't want to let out too much, lest you pop your current reality-bubble. So maybe he's/I'm/we're writing JUST enough to influence things positively.
Besides, who knows how much energy it takes to pierce time.
