If McCain loses, let's all wear black on 11/5 (if it is not your color, try mauve or coral orange)

How did you jump from “I want debtors prison” to Don't you believe in capitalism?

This jump screams troll.

75-85% of my clothes are black, so no one would really notice anything out of the ordinary.

I sometimes can't say what I want to say either, and not because I am some crazy nutjob radical aching for a fight. I think we can all live together, agreeing to disagree about a whole host of things. We have for many years now. That's what freedom is all about. But today, increasingly, some among us seem to have an intractable problem with.... Freedom itself.

Liberty is a human right. It is not negotiable nor is it subject to discussion. And Liberty is first dependent on the right to property. If a man has no presumptive right to the fruits of his labors, then all other rights become impracticable or at best, negotiable. That is not America, but it is, with increasing evidence, Obama's Idea of "America".

Where once we understood wealth to be expansive and creative, Obama sees it through a narrow 19th century lens: as a fixed quantity, subject to division and distribution at the will of the State. I cannot accept, nor will I ever ascent to such a perverse interpretation of the nature of Man and his works, and of the proper role of our government.

So there. I said it after all.

To hell with black, I say cammo is better. Combat of some sort is coming in the next four years if he wins.

I plan on wearing the most cheerful clothing I can put together because Obama’s going down in flames!

A funny post, but imagine this. The Obama Justice Department seizes FR’s database. After they’ve screened out the trolls they’ll have us all!

Bankruptcy should be available in some very limited circumstances, certainly not like it is right now. Consumer debt is a killer right now and distorting the market. As for consumerism, some of it is good for the country. Too much isn’t good. It builds bubbles like the real estate market which has just collapsed. If credit were less available and people spent within their means, then any consumerism would be supported by the natural laws of the economy. It is, I suppose, similar to living beside a river and dealing with its natural ebb and flow as opposed to building a cheap, shoddy dam which backed up the water and then collapsed, causing a catastrophic flood which would never have happened but for the dam.

We can tinker with the economy only so much before we lose control of it. Socialism is an attempt to break the laws of economic progress with impunity and, of course, it never works for long. Unrestrained consumerism based on credit is also inimical to healthy economic growth. I don’t see how lowering the fed fund rate to 0% would do any good except make such funds absolutely unavailable. Our tax monies should be paying for necessary services such as defense or infrastructure. Other money has to come from bonds from investors who are not going to purchase bonds without some expectation of return. I am no economist but I don’t think throwing good money after bad is going to work. We need to change the culture which idolizes profligacy.

I have to agree with you there - I think I can count on my fingers how many non-black shirts I own, although they’re generally paired with blue jeans.

However, during a high school play for which I was doing stage crew, I accidentally discovered that even when black is your wardrobe color of choice, people notice when you wear ALL black. And I’m not talking your standard Hot-Topic-goth-kid definition of ‘all black’ that includes black t-shirts with video game logos and pants that have shiny or brightly colored things on them, but just solid black. It manages to get people’s attention somehow... and weird stares if you add some sunglasses =P

When ever I venture away from black, it seems like I gravitate towards the same colors- purple, green, brown, white, and occasionally red. I can’t figure out if I like neutrals or am just bad with color.

Anything outside of that realm gets worn maybe once or twice.

I’m a shoe junky, but I have a classic white pair of low top Converse All-Stars and a black pair and they go with probably 75% of my outfits. It helps that they let us wear jeans every day in the office.

Well, when I was in the service a standard load was 210 rounds. So an extra mag would be anything more than 7 :^)

I hope you’re not topping off those 30 rounders...bad idea with an AR. 28 rounds max.
