Time to start pushing back, against the media left.

KFI morning flake Bill Handel, has gone completely nutjob in his hatred toward Sarah Palin. It's infuriating.

His beef? He doesn't have one. He's just another pro-gay Palin basher. Who's fortunate enough to have the time slot directly in front of Rush Limbaugh, in a huge market. Otherwise, he would be nothing.

Handel's frothing pro-gay positions seem (clearly) based on conflict of interest, to advance one of his off-air businesses: collecting large amounts of money from gay "couples" for what is called evidently called surrogate parenting.

Time to push back, he's beyond flaky now, he's become a nutjob Obama-naut. I say, a spirited boycott is in order.

Anyone have a list of Handel's advertisers?...

The Only reason to listen to KFI is Rush is on there. I listen to Dan Patrick or Colin Coherd (Sportstalk) on the way to work every morning, as 6:00 a.m. is just too early for political stuff for me. Sometimes Mike Gallagher since he replaced Laura, but I can’t get Laura on my car radio West of the 605 Freeway, but I do get her online at work.

Last week we contacted one of Handel’s sponsors (ex-sponsors, as we soon learned) re boycotting their organization. This is the surprising response we received from the company. (I’ve taken out specific names.)

“Dear Dr. xxxx

One of my associates, xxxx, showed me your email and his response to you. I agree completely with your assessment of his blatant bigotry towards Christians and very specifically Roman Catholics. He (Bill Handel) hides his verbal venom behind the guise of just reporting the news, when in fact he is subjective, condescending and openly hostile towards Christians and Christianity.

As xxxx indicated, we are indeed no longer associated with Mr. Handel as an on-air personality and he is no longer a spokesperson for us.

I would recommend that you share your feelings, as I have, with Clear Channel Radio. They can be reached at www.clearchannel.com . As you are probably aware, Mr. Handel’s show is syndicated nationwide and has a very large listening audience. I find it very hard to believe that there are not a large number of Christians out there who are disgusted with his diatribes against and sarcasm towards Christian values.

Concerned Christians need to do two things:

1. Complain to KFI’s owner, Clear Channel, and
2. Stop listening to The Bill Handel Show.

I don’t hear his morning show since I moved back east. He scrapes the bottom of the barrel, 1 and 2, is not politically correct at ALL. I think he hits both parties, not just republicans but of course I have not heard his morning show recently. He has been taken to task by CAIR any number of times:

The guy that broke the John Kerry story in 2006 (where he said that if you study hard you dont need to go to the military) used to be on KFI and I think broke the story while on KFI. He put on his website a very telling look at what is really going on at KFI..think his first name is John. I think John and Ken forced him out and then Bill blew him off too.

Handel is unlistenable. Same with John and Ken ever since they went into “hate Palin mode” which has now morphed into “Obama has already won” mode.

Yeah -- and to add insult to injury, they went and dumped John Ziegler, who was EXCELLENT as a show host, one of the best talk-radio guys I've ever heard: very unpredictable, fresh, original, smart, and very, very gutsy without ever having to resort to shock-jock crap like Handel and John & Ken. And the geniuses at KFI go and dump him!! If not for Rush, KFI would be nowhere these days.

Rush and Dr. Laura are great -- also, give a listen to Joe Hicks on weekend nights (I think Saturday at 8). He's good. But Handel -- he's a wanker and a half. Listen to him at your own risk, and don't be surprised when he reveals himself a flaming idiot, on everything from sunscreen to politics. I heard the moron once declare that 15 sunscreen "doesn't do anything -- a waste of time! Might as well put on nothing!" This is one blue-eyed, ultra-fair-skinned, freckled redhead who knows he's full of sh*t on that one. Hey Bill -- you have to put the sunscreen on about 20 minutes before you go outside and replenish it over the course of the day, MORON!

He's no more smart on any other issue than he is on sunscreen. But every once in awhile he (or more likely, his on-air toadies) can be pretty irreverently funny.

If it was only "a single host shoots his mouth off," you'd have a point. But actually, Rush, Dr. Laura, and Joe Hicks are about the only hosts who don't shoot their mouths off. Don't even BOTHER to listen to Kennedy and Suits in the evening, except to have your eyes/ears opened as to the complete brainlessness of today's youth.

John Ziegler used to air 7 p.m. evenings, and he was right up there with Rush in smarts, skill and originality. They canned him. Anymore in my house, KFI is off except for Rush -- the rest of my airtime (except late-night -- I love Kook to Kook AM!) is spent on AM 790 (Larry Elder is FANTASTIC!!!!! 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and KRLA 870. KFI is crap most of the time, these days. Sad.

Me, too, -- I'm an "Elderado," especially since my long love affair with Hugh Hewitt sadly petered out as Hugh revealed himself more and more and more to be an ivory tower, pointy-headed intellectual Country Club Republican. For five or six years, Hugh got priority, and I only listened to Larry Elder as a fall-back position. Gradually, that reversed, especially when Hugh abandoned all principle during the primaries and dove deep in the tank for Romney, and then defended the appointment of the very dangereous, very liberal Irwin Chermerinsky as dean of the new UC Irvine law school. LARRY ELDER rules, and is as steady a principled conservative (and small-l libertarian) as Rush, Mark Levin, and Mark Steyn.

Too bad Dennis Prager is on during the same time slot as Rush, because Denis is SUPER!!! If I have any excuse to switch from Rush to Denis (like a boring substitute host or preempting for local urgent news), I JUMP FOR IT! Denis Prager is proof that God exists!

Another Eldorado raising my hand. The Sage rocks strongly. I listen to him via the internet almost daily.

I lived in HB for quite a while and listened to John & Ken for years as they bounced around the dial. They kept getting fired, spend 4-5 months off and then re-hired at a different station. They've had the afternoon drive slot for a while - but The Sage is kicking their butt consistently.

As for Handel...never did like him. Never did.
