Defend yourselves FReepers. Take video — LOTS OF VIDEO. And prosecute the criminals - every time.
If you are assaulted: defend yourself if you need to. Then get law enforcement involved.
Do have a lots of video cameras around to get the criminals on video as evidence.
Do not give them a pass or think you’re more of a tough guy because you “can take a punch”. Get the law involved, every time it happens. If you don’t they will keep on assaulting.
Assault doesn’t necessarily have to be someone striking you. If they get in your face and act like they are on the verge of striking you that alone can be assault in some cases, especially when combined with verbal threats. Get it on video and report it to the police.

Why do all the beautiful places end up drawing these vermin? Asheville has always been a beacon for artists and writers due to the scenery and the climate, but as recently as the early nineties was not a lib freakshow. It’s a real pity.

In CA - after 210,000 early voters (with dems voting for Obama and repubs voting for McCain as a measure) the dems are ahead by only 1000 voters. That’s amazing in CA.
