On your Linux version: Is there anything else you needed to purchase with it...ie extra batteries, memory cards etc?? Also, is the Linux version less susceptible to viruses?

No additional accessories were required. I think my wife bought a mouse (and, of course, some thumbdrives for extra storage).
I never heard of any viruses which affect Linux computers, so yes, it’s less susceptible to them. :)

Also, is the Linux version less susceptible to viruses? I might add in the slim chance you ever do get a Virus it costs nothing to do a clean install, and you can run a live CD version to pull off any data you wanted to save first.(Or a bootable memory stick in this particular case)
