This is probably one of the biggest thing that bothers me about obama.

He is pushing volunteering efforts that will offer young adults money for college tuition. All they would have to do is volunteer in a new volunteer corp that would be set up and run by Obama minded people.

So it isn't enough that out higher education system is an indoctrination system. But now students will be putting physical sweet equity into programs that will help them with there education funding...

This will shurley create a strong attachment to the liberal ideals that will be taught and preached and forced down these students throats as they are trying to help themselves...

What obama never mentions in any of his plans for voluntary service rewards is that volunteer ism is alive and well in all communities all over this country. These volunteer's encompass firefighter, EMT, sheriff, school, PTA etc.

These programs are extremely successfully in there own right. They are administered by the people who know what is best for there our own community's Why wouldn't obama want to use the existing network that is controlled and administered by the localities they serve...

The potential tragic effect of consolidating this nations volunteers can only be compared to like private organizations that are currently controlled by the left. A perfect example is ACORN and the rot that lays within our federal system.

Our volunteers who volunteer for many different reasons but now with federal oversight will surely be organized and used as a weapon. This would prove the most devastating to this country's very fabric for one very simple reason. There are volunteers in every single community, village, town, city etc. This means the agendas set forth on the national level will be administered into the local community's..... These are areas where Marxism has had a difficult time penetrating into for the obvious reasons.

Remember folks if obama god forbid he wins try’s to implement this program must be fought with every tooth and nail. It wont be easy. There will promises of bigger budget, better facility's etc as do all social Marxist programs. But as many of us know these programs are not ment to help but only to expand the agenda of the people pushing these programs. If you are a volunteer please try to articulate this to all your brethren in your volunteering community... people must be educated of the detrimental effects of these programs obama wants to anchor into our community's

Right. And what the heck did he tell Michelle Obama?

“You’ll be required to work ...” Required?

I haven’t heard him propose anything that would consolidate volunteers in general or give volunteers federal oversight.

Each president comes out with some type of volunteer program — remember “FreedomCorps”? They certainly don’t encompass private volunteers, and if you want to volunteer at your local animal shelter, food bank, fire department, etc., this has nothing to do with that.

From Obama web site:

Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation’s Schools:

In November, Barack Obama laid out a comprehensive plan to provide all Americans with a world-class education and give our schools a substantial infusion of funds to support teachers and principals and improve student learning.

That plan conditions that assistance on school districts developing programs to engage students in service opportunities. Obama and Biden believe that middle and high school students should be expected to engage in community service for 50 hours annually during the school year or summer months.

They will develop national guidelines for service-learning and community service programs, and will give schools better tools both to develop successful programs and to document the experience of students at all levels.

They will encourage programs that engage with community partners to expand opportunities for community service and service-learning opportunities, so that students can apply what they learn in the classroom to authentic situations that help the community.

These programs will also involve citizens from the community engaging students in service opportunities through the Classroom Corps."
