Rays-Phillies at Tampa. btw, had the Red Sox won on Sunday night, tonight's game 1 would have been at Fenway park; weather.com predicts lows in the 30s tonight in Boston (what could have been...) Instead, More Cowbell in St. Petersburg. Inside.

The second game of the series with the Red Sox and the Rays went till 1:35 AM (eastern). IIRC, it took 11 innings to break the tie. I went to bed at 12:30, and figured I could read about it in the papers in the morning.

The Tampa Bay Rays need to be reminded of what they truly are, The Tampa Bay Rays of old. they are the flukiest team ever to play in the World Series(outdo the Twins in 1987....go Philadelphia Phillies put the Rays back to being the doormat of the whole MLB with a 4 game sweep!!!!...

Vegas is shaking in their boots over the opening line of 200-1 for Rays to win the series. Seems there are a lot of high rollers that put up $10,000 each for the bottom 5 teams on the opening line. As one bookie said, it's would not shut us down but it will turn the lights down for a few months.
PS: That is why Vegas is covering their butts and making the Rays the favs in this series. And, that is why this game was a pick em tonight.

I took my 3 kids to the Series in 93. Curt Schilling pitched, we won 2-0. The most exciting night. The kids ( 2 now grown with babies of their own) still savor that night.
Go Phils. I need this moment.

Everyone on the starting Rays team is 26 yo or less. Amazing.
Phillies are schooling the Rays, just the way I like it!!! Dang I get schooled by the Rays albeit a solo HR at that!!!
