LOS ANGELES (Oct. 21) - Spike Lee has left his Hollywood talent agent of more than 15 years in the wake of the dismal box office performance of his latest movie. The combative filmmaker jumped to Endeavor from William Morris, three weeks after his World War Two movie "Miracle at St. Anna" opened to just $3.5 million (2.06 million pounds); the Disney release has grossed just $7.5 million to date.
Before "Anna," Lee directed his largest-grossing film to date, the heist thriller "Inside Man," which drew $176 million worldwide in 2006. A sequel is one of several upcoming projects set up by William Morris. Lee did not respond to a request for comment.

Spike ... ya can’t blame your agent for your own dismal failures.
Grosses 7.5m and cost 45m. Ouch.
Won't pay to see it, but may get it via Netflix if it sounds decent.
It's funny how perspectives change, when Sneakers first came out, I was in the military, relatively young, and liked the spy stuff. I thought it was funny and kept a decent pace. I was a conservative at that point, but didn't really pay close attention to politics in general. That changed with Clinton.
Rented it again via Netflix a few weeks ago and about choked on the anti-american, anti-republican, pro-socialism crap in it.
Boy, talk about a non-sequitur in that last post. Went from a comment on Lee’s movie to an obscure Robert Redford movie. Meant to have a segue for it.
Nowz Iz haz ta ax. Was Spike Lee attempting to replace his agent with one that might perform better. Or was Spike Lee trying in ebonics to get a reply commonly referred to in english as an answer. All this,ax, asx, axe stuff has me confused. For that matter the ebonic language also is very confusing.
He'd have done better to bring the idea directly to cable. It could have been pitched as a "Band of Brothers" thing.
He’s gone down the rabbit hole but he will never live up to his classic, “Do the Right Thing.”
I saw him many times here in NY first when no one knew him when his first “student” film was out “She’s Gotta Have It” at Knick games. Spoke to him a couple of times.
By the time his second film came out, he didn’t even want to respond to a hello.
And it was downhill ever since. Angry dude.
I think he’d be less angry if he was 6” taller.
Hollywood’s favorite racist.
The problem is Spike. I had to walk out of one of his films, so racist and even blasphemous it was. Maybe there was a context to it, I’ll never know, once it got to a certain point I was up and out.
So I won’t risk another one unless someone assures me its worth seeing. Spike’s problem is Spike.
The fact that Lee’s films don’t make money is one reason to love the free market.
He can always make propaganda films for Obama.
What is the purpose of that? To take money away from “An American Carol”? Or to give more money to “Chihuahua”?
I did see “An American Carol”. It was amusing. Wish they’d spent more time on Washington than Patton.
Well put, but I would simply say.....
“Hey, Spike, the problem is YOU! Get over yourself, a-hole!”
Then again it was Bush's Fault!
Boo hoo..Spike’s movie bombed while Clint Eastwood did a big box office. As Clint said, maybe Lee should shut his face.
TRIUMPH OF THE WILL REDUX
Mexican actor in BH Chihuahua leaves Spike’s actors in the dust, not to mention a far superior story of “Chihuahua”.
My own Chihuahua lady has seen the movie 20 times now, taking me with her ofcourse. We have no desire to see Anna.
Actually this film got a rave review from the Evangelical Christian review site Movieguide.org
