I have now read the entire document and I have followed a great many of the footnotes and references included in the PDF as well. Google was also my friend.

Although the author is more than a little passionate about what he thinks about Obama and his arrogant and deceitful use of these techniques, he goes on to back it up with known science and thorough analysis.
The techniques Obama is using are identified, explained and demonstrated. They are accepted by the experts in the field as especially powerful and effective among the young, but also among many who do a lot of reading. (think students, journalists, academicians...)
He shows why this is much more effective in long speeches than it is in debates, short conversations or town hall situations. (30 minute CBS final TV campaign time slot, anyone?)
The author makes a disturbingly solid case that Obama is not just a charismatic orator, not even just a dabbler in these methods, but a highly skilled and accomplished practitioner of the art of covert / conversational / Eriksonian hypnosis.

Thank you for your post. I was wondering - would you be willing to post it as a new thread linking back to this one? I am afraid this has fallen off the pages - more people need to see it. In the event that Obama is using these techniques (and I believe he is) then that 30 minute pre-football game infomercial of his has me worried. It would be good if freepers had another chance to look this over, and some encouragement to stsay with the document through to the end because it doesn’t become persuasive until you check the footnotes, references, and read all the way through.
Then - it would be nice if (yeah...I am making my Christmas list early) that those who don’t have time for this kind of thing or who are even more skeptical than I was, could be given (youtube) a cliff’s notes version of what to watch for during his 30 minute SuperBowl infomercial. If they had a “fill in the blank” form (write down the last word he says before each pause, check the boxes for triggers etc.)to ‘play’ along with while he talks - it could illuminate and interest people.

Having just watched CSI’s new episode in regards to hypnosis...people under hypnosis will only do what they would be inclined to do...

I read about it somewhere in his bio. He would read to himself in front of a mirror to overcome it.

That’s probably part of the hypnotic effect, you betcha!
When a person has sincere beliefs they resist the pull, that in itself stops the hypnosis. Now if a person isn’t sincere, but claims to believe, they will be pulled in too. It’s about a person’s core beliefs, that’s what I think. Because when someone “sounds good” yet they ascribe to an evil belief system like partial birth abortion, it causes the listener who understands partial birth abortion is evil, to go, “wait a minute, this person isn’t who they appear to be.” And that stops it from working. For myself, that caused me to keep my eyes open for information that contradicts Obama’s public image. Obama’s public image is very different from who he is privately, he is a fraud. Common on, Ayers, Odinga, Reverend Wright, those people more closely represent the real Obama then the public Obama.

Maybe people who are against partial birth abortion are more repelled by Obama.
Hypnosis doesn’t work on everyone so he would not be likely to reach 80%. I am worried if he manages to reach 2% because that would be enough to change to course of history.
NOte that some people quite smoking or lose weight via hypnosis but others don’t. Failure rate is higher then success rate. I found a website written by NLP experts (I am having trouble findng it again) where one of them analyzed the speeches of the politicians for NLP use. The reviewer said he detected that 60% of Obama’s speech (long prepared speeches) were NLP and that this meant he was using the techniques intentionally and successfully. 38% of Hillary’s speech was NLP and that it was intentional but poorly applied. I think McCain was 14% and that it seemed to the author, at this low rate of occurence, to be unintentional.

The evidence is clearer the farther this empty suit gets into his "presidency".
Compare the rhetoric in Obama's recent (as of this writing) speech in Cleveland with the examples given in the PDF. The teleprompter is still attempting to apply Ericksonian hypnosis techniques.
Hypnosis was working in 2008. It's not working in 2010. Have we developed immunity to Erickson hypnosis? Has one of Obama's controllers disappeared and the remainder don't know what they're working with?
Or is it that enough reality has set in that we are essentially immune to hypnosis because deep, deep down inside everyone knows he's lying now?
