I have one of those purses too with a sweet little Ruger SP101 .357 mag that fits perfectly. Also have a DH who tells me to never roll the window down, just shoot ‘em through the glass.

One of my early posts to the gun club was one of Kathy Jackson’s columns. She’s written some excellent pieces. I emailed her for permission to use her work of Free Republic and she was pleased to grant it. If you email her (if you don’t already know her :) ) she’ll respond. She strikes me as a good person to have on our side. She’s very articulate, calm, and VERY strong. She’s also in your area. I’d love to spend some trigger time with her at some point.

A woman does have a right to choose, even if she hasn't been born yet.

Off topic as all git out, but hey..

I guess this is 'An armed Lady is a respectable Lady' bump.

Zed: "Why did you shoot little Tiffany?

James Edwards (Agent J): "Well, first I was gonna pop this guy hanging from the street light, and I realized, y'know, he's just working out. I mean, how would I feel if somebody come runnin' in the gym and bust me in my a$$ while I'm on the treadmill?

Then I saw this snarling beast guy, and I noticed he had a tissue in his hand, and I'm realizing, y'know, he's not snarling, he's sneezing. Y'know, ain't no real threat there.

Then I saw little Tiffany. I'm thinking, y'know, eight-year-old white girl, middle of the ghetto, bunch of monsters, this time of night with quantum physics books? She about to start some $hit, Zed. She's about eight years old, those books are WAY too advanced for her. If you ask me, I'd say she's up to something. And to be honest, I'd appreciate it if you eased up off my back about it.

That’s what I told Pedro when the sumbitch said he’d scratch my back, instead he stole my wallet! And now he’s after your sister, Man.

Nice choice. My first gun ever was an SP101 38 ... I think I used it as a trade-in on my Beretta 9mm. I really wanted a semi-auto and was able to collect a bunch of large capacity mags before they outlawed them. In hindsight, wish that I had kept the SP and just paid more cash for the 9mm.

DH has a Beretta 9mm, but it is too large for my hands to comfortably hold tight enough to keep a decent grouping. My Ruger fits my hand and if I can’t stop what I want to stop in 6 rounds, they’ll have to catch me cause I’m gonna run like hell. lol...

LOL. I have never carried the 9mm for protection, I’d rather have the revolver even though through a couple thousand rounds at the range, the Beretta has never jammed. Like you, if I can’t stop something with 6 rounds, time to run hard. I do carry a speed loader for the additional 6 rounds, but can’t imagine that I’d actually be cool enough to use it. Take care!
