For what it's worth, one of the best places on the web I've found for cables and other accessories is www.monoprice.com.
I picked up a 10' HDMI cable for my TV, a 6' firewire cable, and a 6' USB 2.0 cable for $21 including shipping.

Connecting a FW400 device to a FW800 port is a matter of an adapter or cable. Been around for quite a while.
Photographers (I are one) are just realizing that the new macbook pro they have been waiting for only comes with a glossy screen.
They are majorly P! Od !!! Revolt is in the offing. Photographers and graphic artists have always been the backbone of the Apple constituency ...
AND WE HATE GLOSSY SCREENS.
Makes critical photo evaluation very much more difficult. The glare is unbearable. The new screens are TOO bright and crisp and what you see is not what the printer kicks out.
This is a major pain and Apple has taken a dump on their best customers.
Every Mac page on every photo site is raging with anger and disgust.
Here’s an online petition asking Apple to at least give us the option of a matte low glare monitor or screen:
