Re: the track pad
My understanding is that the entire trackpad does depress with a distinct click. Or, alternately, it is a multitouch surface ala the iPhone but able to distinguish up to four separate finger touches.
Sweet! I want one of those new MacBook Pros.
Go ahead then you might be too busy to come and make noise on threads that don’t concern you, ya dang drama queen..
**Re: have I tried the new Macs.
Nope. They just announced them this morning.**
Sorry! LOL Duh. Got a little ahead of myself on that one!
Thanks for the ping, anyway!
How is this thread wasting your time? you came here...
Hmmm... Firewire 800 port, but no Firewire 400 on the new Pro book. The cable for my video camera is Firewire 400.
I hate upgrade time. My machine ain’t broke, and I’m disinclined to replace it, but it is starting to show the years, and its time remaining in my service is measured in months at this point.
Is there a new cable that will solve my problem, or will it be camera upgrade time as well?
Firewire removed from MacBook?
Thanks for the post. I’m in Dresden at the moment with my MacBook Air waiting to iChat with my daughter. The Air is the best travel computer I have owned. Ignore the troll who has been disrupting the Apple treads since “Aug 18, 2005”. ;-)
How’s the weather in Dresden, warm?
iMac user for three years now...it’s nice that this machine keeps on working without having to reboot every other day.
The touchpads for the notebooks now support all the gestures introduced on the iPhone, such as 'pinch' to indicate cropping a picture, or a 4-finger touch to trigger the Expose function.
My working-world PC is virtualized inside my MacBook Pro. In fact, I have one for each recent version of Windows, from 2000 to Vista.
Sheesh! What a jerk. I’m turnin you in dude. You’re about as appreciated on fr as a bad hemorrhoid.

Then hit the design tab for a more detailed description.
From an industrial/mechanical design point of view this is a truly elegant and brilliant solution.
"Less is more", Mies van de Rohe.
Look for it to win even more design awards for Apple.
I’m so bummed about this, they made the MBP glossy only.
I hate glossy screens, they reflect everything and can’t be calibrated.
And they only have one firewire port, not two.
Rats...
I’ll wait until the 17’ is refreshed, hopefully they’ll offer matte screens and two ports.
Thanks for the pings, Sword, I sure appreciate ‘em!

What’s with the stupid border?
