Some people had hoped he said he would stop singing, not signing.

Now that's funny right there. That being said, I did see him in Atlantic City this Summer and it was a very entertaining show. Wifey had never seen a Beatle live before, so it was extra special for her. The quality of the All-Starrs certainly has diminished over the years, though.

I saw him about a decade ago, he doesn’t come around these parts but once every 30 years it seems.

I’ve seen Ringo, Paul, and Pete.

Ringo had John Entwhistle and some others in the All-Stars the year I saw him.

His fame is a trade off. He wouldn’t have become big without the fans and he wouldn’t have gotten into the same circle of influence as his wife if he hadn’t been famous.

He’s still dependent on people buying his new albums. Is there still an official Ringo fan club after this announcement?

It’s not like he’s trying to win over new audiences to his newest material.
