McCain just killed all the momentum and enthusiasm of the last week with this simple sentence in response to an angry attendee at a rally tonight:
“I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."
“No, ma’am. He is a decent family man, citizen"
I guess what McCain is trying to tell us is that Socialism is not bad or dangerous for the country.
I am sure she was a plant. No doubt about it. Point many of us are making is that Mccain has given these people what they want, which was for him to settle for the issue that Obamabi wins on. The economy.
Now, there is nothing left, unless someone else stands up and wins it for him. I doubt it. No one will stand up to these Chicago guys. Gutless GOP.
I have been all for our win, but hey, there isn’t much left to be cheerful about. When your rally crowd boos ya, its over.

Do you or anyone at least have an image of the woman who asked the question that started this? It may be easy to find out if she is a plant, even if we don’t know her name.

Yes, McCain has Bush fatigue, a financial meltdown and an unpopular war.
There were ways to handle this without handing a grade A, primo soundbite to Obama and the MSM. All McCain had to do was ignore the Arab part and say that Obama’s POLICIES were scary, and then proceed to describe how. He had to know questions like these would come up, why didn’t he have an answer ready, an answer that reiterated the points he’s been making in his ads? Answer: McDole is a cr@p campaigner.
You can try to minimize this gaffe if you wish, but McCain just told the undecideds that it’s okay to vote for Obama, that citizen, family man who’s not scary at all. There goes the birth certificate, there go Ayers and Wright, there goes his leftist voting record. Nope, according to McCain, he’s decent and not scary at all. Sheesh.

Actually, I’m out to destroy Obama. Not only his chances to win POTUS, but his poltical career forever. But maybe like McCain, you don’t think he’s dangerous.
No, he just holds the record for medals in the knee jerk Olympics. I see you are new here, so I probably should explain, while we all are conservatives, one trait that seems to follow a lot of folks is knee jerk reactions to things. His reaction isn’t off from how all the media saw this. Heck, frankly, before you mentioned it, I didn’t see the rest of the question to realize it was a plant. I was peeved at him too... IF she was a plant though, that does change everything. IF she can be exposed as a plant, even better.

It doesn’t matter if she’s a plant, the MSM will never discuss that and indecided voters don’t hang at Freep.
Bottom line is McCain should have had a response ready for this type of question, a response that didn’t include practically endorsing Obama for President.
I imagine Sarah Palin is pulling her hair about now. She at least, understands who the enemy is.
Listen, McCain is secondary. This election is about Obama and stopping him.
I think we all understand if McCain wins, we will be fighting him as well.
The only difference between the two is how much harm to the country there will be. This is a lose or lose BIG situation.
I frequently e-mail the McCain/Palin campaign and do just that. Like I said in another thread, it doesn’t hurt for all of us to e-mail the McCain/Palin campaign to tell them what we really think should be done by McCain/Palin and what we really believe in as conservatives and as a capitalistic country. It’s good therapy, and it’s also a good way to vent our frustrations with how the McCain/Palin ticket is doing overall. We still have some time before November 4, and we all also still have all of the other political races that are also happening at the same time all over the U.S. All of U.S. conservatism is really in danger of becoming a non-factor in all future U.S. politics!
You would be surprised who hangs here and where our tentacles reach. It may not make the MSM, but we can get it to make Rush, Sean and Mark, thus, help the choir not be pissed off. Undecideds (ie wimps) may like is reaction, so no need to jump on that.. it is our own troops we need to bring the morale back to. If she was a plant, it will piss off our side even more. It will also take the attention away from McCain's comment and toward Obambi's tricks.
