A 4-year-old boy in Watertown, N.Y., is growing an extra skeleton due to a rare genetic condition, the Watertown Daily Times reported Thursday.
Shane Terry has fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, or FOP, which causes bone to form in muscles, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissue.
In time, bridges of extra bone will develop across his joints, eventually restricting movement and forming a second skeleton. Eventually, his body will lock up.

I don’t suppose our government could see their way clear to transfer just a few dollars from the bloated AIDS budget over to THIS type of disorder, could they?
If he’s growing an extra spine, maybe he can loan it to McCain until election day....
I hope and pray that a cure and/or treatment will be found.

I believe politicians suffer from a very similar affliction, it is called recto-cranial ossificans progressiva...
This is so sad, and so painful for the parents to watch this happening to them. Prays for them.
