And I think I'm glad refermatch started a separate thread about this. I don't know about you but I don't read every thread, and on the threads I do look at I don't read every reply. I scan the thread titles and the first few words of text and then look further at those that interest me. This one interested me.

I'm not sure what anyones problem is with an occasional "vanity" post. If I'm not interested in any that I see, it probably takes me less than a second to have considered it and skipped it.

So thanks refermech for coming up with an interesting idea that I hadn't considered. I doubt it will happen. I still tend to believe that Obama was born in Hawaii, based upon his reference to the hospital where he was born in Lessons from My Father published long before he would have been thinking about running for the Presidency. But the fact that Obama refuses to provide ANYTHING about his past, his birth certificate, his grades, his test scores, his medical records, &c., is at least interesting; and maybe McCain could use his birth certificate as a wedge to bring up Obama's obscure past.
