My Call to the Marc Bernier Show
10/9/08 | Jack

Posted on 10/09/2008 9:47:18 AM PDT by molly_jack2007

Earlier this morning I was on a regional radio show. (The Marc Bernier show).

I attempted to explain Barack Obama's associations with radical America hating people. (Ayers, Khalid Al Monsour and Odinga).

Marc, unlike his normal self cut me off and asked "Why should I care". "What has this got to do with anything" just before he hung up.

I fired off a email in disgust, and upon reflection I sent him the email below.

I'm open to your suggestions and thoughts, but the mindset of "Why does any of this matter" is dangerous and I for one intend to fight it...

Her is my email to Marc:

"Marc, I am writing you to say that I am profoundly sorry if my email to you came across as rude or insensitive.

I stated that I would not listen to you any longer, and honestly at the time I certainly meant it. After some reflection I wish to retract that statement because your show and many shows like it across America are an example of a free press and free people allowed to give their opinions.

I may not always agree with you but as I stated before, I have always found you to be fair and honest.

I do not wish to go back on anything I said regarding Obama's associations. I am not the only person in America asking these questions and as we draw closer to November 4th you will see more and more of these things coming to light.

I do wish though to say to you again, if I was rude to you in my email, I apologize. Just before I called in I recall you stating that you have been awake for most of the previous 8 days because you are worrying about the future of your children. I too am worried sir.

My 401k has lost over $1000 in value in less than 3 days. Last week I was laid off from my job. My wife and I do not know how we can support our family down the road, but, in all of that, we believe in America.

We believe in God. We will cling to our guns and our religion and have faith that God will provide. We will not however support anyone who has known associations with radical America hating people even if we have to live off of tuna sandwiches as a result.

America to me is more than a symbol. More than an idea. We will never sell out America to anyone, any party or any man who thinks that we are a scourge upon the rest of the world.

I stand by my statement. I believe that you are fair and honest and as a result of that, I will continue to listen. Even if we disagree, this is America and men and women have shed their blood so that we could have the opportunity to disagree. I will take that any day over being told what to say and what to believe."

Marc has been for the most part very fair and leans toward to the right.
He has a sizable audience in Virginia and Florida, which is why I wanted to go on and speak.

Marc stated that “He doesn’t know any of this” in relation to Ayers, Odinga or Khalid.

Here is a prime example of someone who is a journalist with impact in swing states that NEEDS TO DO HIS HOMEWORK.

Stating “I don’t know is NOT an excuse.

Email him fact if you have them:

wright
Had breakfast with one this morning. They are set and will not listen to any true statements or facts. I gave him several places to go and read those facts and was told I was clueless about how great Obama was.

I asked him about Rev. Wright and he said he did not say he had not heard anything about him. I laugh at him and told him because he was pulling an Obama (lie) he had to but breakfast.

He’s also on here in the area where I live and usually tune in for a bit on my way home. he was speaking with one of his usual tools that he has on the show and came to the don’t care attitude yesterday afternoon. I just turned on the country music station (not the one owned by the same parent company as his station) and listened to it instead. I do care what company one of the people running for president keeps. You can tell much about a man from that fact alone.

I heard Marc earlier this year responding to someone who was questioning Obama’s past. Marc had the attitude that, because Obama was elected to the Senate from Illinois, ANYTHING he had done in his past prior to the point of that election was off limits. He stated more than once that Obama had “been vetted by the voters of Illinois” and that they didn’t think there was anything that should keep him from being elected, so therefore those questions should be off limits from that point forward.

Marc is a closet liberal. He makes claims to be a conservative, but his actions consistently show that he probably more likely got his political viewpoint from watching people like Lincoln Chafee and Bernie Sanders. He’s never heard the teacher’s union here in Volusia County say anything he didn’t agree with, which might have something to do with the fact that his former wife is a teacher.

He never, and I mean NEVER, calls out a Democrat for anything they say on his show. I’ve heard him interview Chris Dodd and several other high-ranking Democrat officials over the years, and he lets them say whatever they want and never challenges them. When anyone questions him about it, he claims that if he wants these people on his program, he can’t attack them or they won’t come back. Every day, he takes a call from Ellen Ratner, the homosexual socialist. He and Ellen are so chummy, it’s ridiculous, and again, he lets her say whatever she wants to say about the day’s events and just accepts them at face value.

His idea of balance is to have a daily call from John LeBoutillier, who has been a constantly harsh critic of George Bush almost from day one. So, we get Ellen bashing Bush, and that is followed by LeBoutillier bashing Bush, on a daily basis. This has been going on since long before the Iraq war turned into a quagmire, and continues to this day despite the success of the surge.

He also at one time would regularly take a call from a guy whose answer to EVERY problem that was open for discussion on a particular day was to tie the problem to drugs and use it as an argument for drug legalization. I don’t hear that guy call anymore, though I don’t have as much opportunity to listen anymore, so he might still be a regular.

Marc once demonstrated his complete lack of understanding even of what is meant by the words “liberal” and “conservative” when he accused Dr. Laura Schlesinger on the air of being a liberal. I called in and pointed out his error at calling one of the most conservative women in radio (and definitely the most conservative “self-help” talk show host) a liberal, and he acted like he thought I was nuts.

I can’t really stand to listen anymore, so I usually catch Sean Hannity when I can instead. The main point of Marc’s show, as I see it, is to promote Marc Bernier.

I've sent the same info to Rush, Hanity, Oreily, Greta, Ingrahm, CNN, NBC, ABC, and on and on. How much have you heard other than the internet? They are either scared of it, or don't care.

I heard your exchange this morning with Marc. I agree with what you said and with what you wrote.

Marc is essentially conservative and doesn’t like B.O. at all. I think today he was in an edgy mood. He began the broadcast by saying that he had spent the weekend worrying about his children’s future.

I was listening to you and Mark this morning, had just tuned in when you called. I was taken back at the response Mark was giving you, have never heard him leaning to the left so much. You should have been much harsher with your email, and if I were you?/ I wouldn’t be interested in calling his show again. I really felt bad for you.
