I don't know if McCain is going to win or lose, all I know is we won't go down quietly without one helluva fight.

In another week, the bears on Wall Street will have exhausted themselves, and the breathless headlines of imminent doom will have run their course.

The following two weeks will be the "Obama gut check" that you described. McCain and Palin will have a strong finish.

I was wondering the same thing. I have tried so hard to be optimistic. I have told myself that its the biased media and skewed polls but I am beginning to think I am just whistling past the graveyard. I don’t understand it. The more dirt we hear on Obama the higher his poll numbers go.

Not yet. However, if the polls look like this right before the election, we better be prepared for President Obama.

If the election were held today, O would win FL...

Just an observation, but I have seen far fewer Obama signs and bumper stickers this time than I saw Kerry/Edwards stickers last time. Those few who have them look anything but mainstream. McCain/Palin signs & stickers, however, are much more evident.

Let’s see in 2000 at this time Gore was leading something like 11 points, and we got no President Gore. In 2004 Kerry was a head somthing like 15% at this time and we got no President Kerry. I believe we’ve seen this movie before and “propaganda” is her name. The problem is they target us like they target Dems and we know what BS smells like and they don’t. So since they tell Dems it’s in the bag they don’t bother to vote and Republican’s take nothing for granted and go vote anyway. :) Lovely isn’t it?

Now, that is a wild statement.

I live in NC, and btw the rally in Asheville was not 30k , it was less than 8K

NC goes McCain...and the others you named are certainly not going Obama either.

Fear mongering doesn’t help

While the election is far from over, the real question we have to ask ourselves is whether America is still a majority conservative country.

The angry left, Hollywood and the mainstream media have waged an all-out culture war against conservative values over the last 30 years, and have progressively made progress trying to redefine traditional American values away from conservatism. Don’t underestimate the consistent pounding conservatives, their leaders and their values take on every news channel, every talk-show and almost every production out of Hollywood. For those who just vote once every couple of years, and get their news and information from those sources, it will take a lot to understand what the real differences are.

I believe that this election will show how far to the left American values have slipped. And yes, I know that there is still a significant portion of the population that is staunchly conservative. But is that portion in the majority in enough states or not?

McCain is still a much better choice than Obama. But just the fact that there is even a chance that a radical left-winger such as Obama can be elected scares the daylights out of me. Conservatives have been in polite retreat for too long, and regardless of the outcome of the election, will have to work hard to make sure that the average American understands what those values are. Or we will face the same kind of nonsense and mad scramble in every election, with a consistent trend to the left.

It’s important to remind the liberal youth that Republicans vote on Nov. 4 and Liberals vote on Nov. 5, as always.

The Government will be sending trucks around on Nov. 4 loaded with Free Stuff for ‘Rat supporters. But you have to be at home to get it. Don’t leave your house! It’ll be a long time before they get back.

Let’s hope I’m a better election prognosticator than a market analyst.

From your lips to God’s ears.

Right now it’s amazing. Rats caused this credit crisis by pushing Fannie. Rats are right now causing people to pull money out of the market based on fears that Obambi will get elected and who knows what besides UP he will do to people’s taxes. So Rats are posed to then take over the hen house-—the White House, the House, Senate, eventually the courts-—to “fix” the problem they created?

And “conservatives” are still whining about McCain?

That burns me up.
