DID BILL AYERS GHOST-WRITE "DREAM FROM MY FATHER?"
Travis McGee | Oct. 6, 2008 | Travis McGee

Posted on 10/07/2008 6:29:44 AM PDT by Travis McGee

The new rumor is that English prof Ayers ghost-wrote Obama’s books. There is some early forensic/style evidence pointing strongly in this direction. If this can be nailed down by comparing other Ayers work to Obama’s (?) books, Obama is finished.

But the forensic work has to be done super fast to have any effect on the election.

Obama was noted for NOT writing, neither as editor of the Harvard law review, nor as a lecturer on con-law. The man just didn't write, in positions where most folks write like crazy.

Then he pops out with two fantastically well written books that become best sellers? And this has nothing to do with his freindship with political mentor and English prof Bill Ayers?

The forensic work has to be done super fast to have any effect on the election.

I already saw a thread where nearly exact phrases were used in an unpublished but available online Ayers work, and Dreams From My Father. Seems that Ayers had been a merchant seaman for a short while, and the nearly exact same sea and sky descriptions are in both his and "Obama's" works, even though "Obama's" books don't deal with seafaring.

Smoke, meet fire. These sea and sky descriptions jumped out on a first read, but actual forensic analysis could NAIL THIS DOWN. Like a fingerprint or DNA match.

If Ayers is Obama's ghost-writer, we need to prove this in a very short time.

I'm trying to stir up this rapid research here on Free Republic. Remember Dan Rather and Memogate, and the forensic analysis that was done in a matter of hours?

WE need an effort like that now.

Oh yes it is buddy. You are wrong.

We’re talking about Bill Ayers.

I hope you are right. But we are in la la land. We are seriously considering electing a marxist community organizer as president. Don’t pretend reality is on our side.

I can hear Obama now; “I, like many of my colleagues, used a ghost writer in working with my publishing company. I had no idea they would use my neighbor that I sometimes see driving on my road to write about the most intimate details of my life. I had no idea. I had no idea. I had no idea. I had no idea. (someone wacks him upside the head) Oh, I mean it is just a coincedence”.

The issue is not that Obama didn’t write it. It’s that Ayers, the man who Obama described simply as “a guy who lives in my neighborhood whom I don’t know well” wrote it. Oh, by the way, the dude is an unrepentant domestic bombing terrorist with bad aim who, by his own admission, wishes he could have done more. The only way he escaped prison time was the FBI used an unwarranted wire tap.

Weren’t the unibomber or Charles Manson available? Maybe they’ll get the next sequal.

I heard a couple of authors discussing Obama and his books.

They said that there is no record of Obama writing anything in college or any where else.
They suspected that Obama had some help who is not getting credit because there is no way you start writing books of that quality. Everyone starts out writing with some duds.

This theory was discussed previously on this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2085368/posts

To put it mildly, Cashill’s assertion rests upon an extremely flimsy basis which in the end is nothing more than unsupported speculation.

He has plucked two sentences out of two books, one over 300 pages, the other over 400 pages. They are similar in sentence structure, but so what? All it proves is that they are both in English.

If there is some legitimate forensic comparison to be made then by all means let somebody do it. Cashill’s unsupported speculations and innuendo are not it.

Actually, those on the radical Left won't care. Mainstreeter's might, but only if it makes it past the MSM news filter.

The rest of us already knew the Messiah was a lying arsehole and wouldn't vote for him even if we had a gun to our heads...

So criminal slumlord Tony Rezko gets 0bama a house on Ayers’s street and 0bama doesn't know him? Does Rezko know Ayers?

NIce to see you,,I was on the original thread that got you famous!!!

The only relevance this might be is to tie Obama more closely to a man he insists is just a neighbor.

I am not going to chase rabbit trails, so a challenge on this:

Show FIRST that the writing styles of “Dreams ...” and “Audacity of Hope” are different enough that they WERENT written by the same person.

If that’s the case, then BINGO, the first bio had a ghostwriter.

Obama dumped one publisher for another to put out Audacity of Hope.

it’s not just that someone else wrote it, it is WHO wrote it- the domestic terrorist that he claims to have only a passing friendship with

this makes it conspiracy to promote Obama starting years ago, and who ELSE is involved besides the domestic terrorist Ayers?

ACORN needs a McCarthy style investigation, and I am NOT joking.

“It ties them together in a long-term secret collaboration, and proves he’s a damned liar of the highest order. “

We already know that fact without this, as Ayers and Obama spent $100 million together on the Annenberg challenge grant. Youdont just get to be a ‘casual acquaintance’ of someone you spend $100 million with.

“Please Lord, let this be true”

It’s almost certainly true, but what of it? Very few will care.

It’s certainly not proven, but personally I wouldn’t call it flimsy. I find it convincing.

It's just one more arrow in the quiver to use over the next month. A few votes here and there may count for a lot.

I'm wearing my optimistic pants today. 8^)
