Hi all! I'm looking for a specific picture to print and display as I teach a homeschool class on Veterans' Day. We're doing the class in October in preparation for building a VDay float in November.
The pic I want is of an elderly veteran (probably WWII) hugging an injured Marine (in dress uniform) - the Marine has lost an arm and has a hook/prosthetic device. It is a wonderfully illustrative pic for those who have sacrificed - young and old.
If anyone could find this pic for me, Freepers can. And yes,I have googled but am exhausted and was hoping someone would have dropped it into a folder or their favorites list.
TOPICS: Military/Veterans; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: marines; usmc; veteran
Thanks in advance!

It’s what we do. Might as well use part of my training for something useful :)

Personally, I like the wider view on this one. It's smaller, size-wise, but I like seeing the folks in the background as well.

WASHINGTON, April 17, 2008 Marine Lance Cpl. Evan Eskharia, a basic water systems technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), received his United States citizenship during a naturalization ceremony at Al Faw Palace here April 12.
Marine Lance Cpl. Evan Eskharia shows off his certificate of naturalization after a ceremony at Al-Faw Palace, Baghdad, April 12. Eskharia has wanted to be a U.S. citizen since coming to America when he was a child.
Receiving his U.S. citizenship in the war-torn country of his birth represents the culmination of his familys determination and will to flee an oppressive regime and seek the freedoms and opportunities only offered in America.

Oh I’m so glad I couldn’t find it then!
It’s wonderful, isn’t it?!
The very epitome of Veterans’ Day.
I can’t look at it without crying.
