IF you ask Adam Fulrath who is the love of his life, he will barely blink an eye before responding: Parappa.
Mr. Fulrath, a 37-year-old design director at Time Out New York, keeps five photographs of Parappa, a shorthaired, bicolored, mixed-breed cat, on his desktop. He knows that it might be considered a little weird that a grown man would be so enamored with his kitty, but Mr. Fulrath, who is into video games and comic books and calls himself a straight, geeky guy, doesnt care.
Shes my primary relationship, he said.
Mr. Fulrath is one of a growing number of single and yes, heterosexual men who seem to be coming out of the cat closet and unabashedly embracing their feline side. To that end, they are posting photographs and videos of their little buddies on YouTube and on Web sites like menandcats.com, and Twittering about them to anyone who will listen.

I believe he was named after Dr. Gonzo from Hunter S. Thompson’s writings. I think Henson “dropped” if you ask me.

Did you mean:
1. You calling me, gay buddy?
or
2. You, calling, me gay buddy?
or
3. You calling me gay, buddy?

When my DH, who only ever had dogs, married me, he married into the cat-staff life. Ancient Viking Kitty trainied him in no time on how to meet her every requirement.
After she retired to the Rainbow Bridge and we were ready to get a pet again, DH wanted two cats - one for me and one for him, so we wouldn't have to take turns - everyone could hold a cat. One cat per lap.
They really get to you when you get to know them.

No. That's the name the ladies at the Nebraska Humane Society gave him. He was a drop-off and the staff just fell in love with him and started calling him Gonzo.

Your question occurred to me too ..... and made go to the bookshelf to pull out my copy of the delightful "The Book of Jones" by Ralph Steadman, a friend of HST.
'Once upon a time Ralph Steadman visited his friend Hunter S. Thompson at Owl Farm .... there he made the acquaintance of a certain cat named Jones....Jones was the master of all he surveyed. When he wanted something from a human, he invariably got it; the rest of the time he was serenely unavailable. And Jones was mercurial even by the standards of ...Thompson (with whom he shared mutual respect and nocturnal habits): "Both made demands and were locked into worlds reserved for selfish gods." ...No one who knew Jones - not Steadman, not Thompson, not even the late and great John Belushi - was any match for his wiles.'
I'm a fan of Steadman's lively art/illustrations and his informative volumes *The Grapes of Ralph* ... (not his politics.) ;-D

I love cats myself. It makes my day coming home to my two “crazy kids”. The Love of My Life (yes, a very hot woman) loved cats as much as I. And she knew I was as straight as a man can be. ;) I lost her, but still have my cats. Life’s OK.

Where the hell did you get my cat?!!! =O
Oliver:
Trust me, the resemblance really is uncanny even if my picture is a little off (I just took it). Especially the golden eyes.
As for me, well, I'll let
this post speak for itself. It is true that I consider my cats better human beings than most people I meet. I'd never refer to any of them as my "primary relationship," though. "Master," "best buddy," "cutest thing in the world"...yes. "Primary relationship"...um..no. Of course, I have informed my girlfriend that the cats get their say first in major decisions. They were here first, after all.

I won’t let my kitties play with firearms.

Wonderful story! We had a cat that would only sleep on your face ... needless to say, she spend many nights outdoors.
To: Grizzled Bear
It's dangerous to let them near your dentures too.

My Eldrick approves of letting the staff share in his buttsmell.... (as mine is curled in front of me purring during his cuddle time...)
He said that was extremely magnamious of him.... (the cat)
